NARRATIVE REPORT
I started the third week of February on Social Security System- Alabang Branch.
A trainee named Blessie briefly introduced me all about the employees and how the
work is done. The Member Service Section has lots of work. Every form that every
employee gave has a designated processing. Its our duty to sort them out. The process
goes like this.
First, sort all the forms if its SE/VM, CAD, MVSCPD and the rest. Every form
must be written correctly in the transmittal list by their name, concern and social security
number. It takes hours to write them depends on how many requests a form. Time to
time, you have to answer calls by asking their social security number, concern and their
full name to be checked at the counter. Most inquiries are about verification. We are
asked not to verify through phone and let them call to other verification hotline. Back to
the transmittal forms, once you have finished transmitting the forms that next thing you
have to do is to ask the pile up forms for Annual Confirmation of Pensioners. This form
must be transmitted right away because the process takes a while which is the same as
for scanning transmittals. We need to transmit and be received to the admin so that the
pensioners got their claims on time.
RIMC01 has the most demanding processes among all forms. You have to write
it on a request form separated by their number of areas and who request it. Then you
have them sign it, which takes time because the counters have to take shifts time to
time. Once youve got them signed, you have to photocopy it one by one and be
encoded by Maam Iccah. Its kind of complicated, but you have to sit and write it
correctly.
Lastly, at the end of the day, all forms must indicate a stamp of the branch head,
which will be signed by Ms. Rosa May and be received by admin the next day.

PROBLEM ENCOUNTERED
Work experience is any experience that a person gains while working in a
specific field or occupation, but the expression is widely used to mean a type of
volunteer work that is commonly intended for young people often students; to get a feel
for professional working environments. The trainees are usually unpaid; travel and food
expenses are sometimes covered by them, but this time it is different. The company
where I have been trained offers allowance which encourages us to work effectively and
efficiently. It is a win-win situation for me because they really trained us really well.
However, I have trouble with their system. The Member Service System (MSS)
department has a bit of technicality in terms of transmitting. Transmittals must already in
a printed material. The searching of the transmittals makes my tasks pile up. I have also
noticed that the photocopier machines takes time to repair, but it is understandable.
Ive quite appreciate the changes in the admin and e-center sections except the MSS
department. They need more machines like printers and photocopiers to lessen their
time to call other trainees which mostly not always available in their seat because others
had given us tasks which us trainees have to work firm.
After all the chaos I have been through, I learned on to it. Every problem that I
have faced during my OJT I have countered it with solutions. That is why we have to
think fast. Use the time wisely, especially in this company, the tasks pile up rapidly.

RECOMMENDATION
I recommend to my department that the transmittal sections must already have
its own computer to encode immediately the daily records of those who have requested
their forms. It looks more presentable rather than writing them. Trainees can type it
directly and correctly throughout the day so whenever there are incoming forms to be
encode we just have to type and at the end of the day, trainees just have to print them
and process them instantly. I also recommend an enough machines like printers,
computers and photocopier machines. It may lessen their time calling trainees which
unavailable.
This is the only thing that I can recommend. After all, Social security system has
upgraded their system from admins to e-center. I have appreciated that the MSS
department had lessen their forms to be transmitted. Overall, Social security system is
an excellent On-the-Job experience.
