Logical Processors - Understanding

The document discusses logical processors and how they relate to physical cores and licensing of SQL Server 2012. Logical processors subdivide a server's processing power and enable parallel processing. SQL Server 2012 licensing is based on physical cores, not logical cores. Virtual machine licensing may incur additional fees if a logical processor is assigned to more than one virtual core.
