The document provides information on properly storing hand tools, parts, and equipment. It lists three good practices for storage: labeling and storing parts in bins; labeling tools and placing them on a board in their assigned spots; and assigning an individual responsible for tool maintenance. Following proper storage practices has four main benefits - tools and parts stay in good condition and are easy to find, costs are reduced, productivity increases as less time is wasted searching, and staff develop a sense of responsibility. The document includes figures illustrating bin storage and a tool shadow board. It also provides a task sheet with assessment rubrics for role playing a tool storage scene.
