Footnotes
CALIFORNIA CHROME stalked the pace off the rail, bid outside the runner-up on the backstretch and second turn, put a head in front approaching the
stretch, fought back outside that rival through a long drive and gamely prevailed under urging. DORTMUND sped to the early lead, set the pace a bit off the
rail then inside, fought back on the second turn, drifted out some from the whip in the final furlong but battled inside the winner to the wire. WIN THE SPACE
stalked outside a rival then a bit off the rail to the stretch, drifted to the inside in the drive and bested the others. FOLLOW ME CREV settled a bit off the rail,
went around a rival into the stretch and lacked a further response. CRITTENDEN saved ground stalking the pace, dropped back on the second turn and
gave way.
