Balaghat District was constituted in 1967-73, looks like a flying bird, situated in
southern part of Jabalpur division. Total Area of Balaghat District is 9,245 sq.kms.
and Population according to census 2011 is 17,01,156. Forest area is 50500
Hectare with 10 Subdivisions- Balaghat, Biahar, Birsa, Paraswada, Katangi,
Waraseoni, Lalbarra, Khairlanji, Lanji, and Kirnapur.
