Syscon Syllabus

Candidates with a first class or 60% marks in bachelor's degree in engineering are eligible for admission. Relevant work experience can exempt the GATE score requirement if sponsored by an employer, but teaching or research assistantship will not be provided. The written test will cover topics in control systems including components, block diagrams, open and closed loop systems, signal flow graphs, time and frequency response analysis, root loci, Nyquist and Bode plots, and PID control. Engineering mathematics topics include linear algebra, calculus, differential equations, complex variables, probability, statistics, numerical methods, and transform theory.

Degree in any Engineering discipline with a valid GATE score in Aerospace
Engineering (AE) / Mechanical Engineering (ME) / Electrical Engineering
(EE) / Electronics and Communication Engineering (EC) / Instrumentation
Engineering (IN) / Chemical Engineering (CH).
Candidates having two years of relevant work experience are exempted from
requirement of GATE score, provided their candidature is sponsored by the
employer. They are not eligible for award of Teaching (TA) / Research
Assistantship (RA).
