Status Code 42

All backups using a particular media server were failing with exit status 42. This was due to the media server not being listed on the master server, so the master was rejecting its connection attempts. The issue was resolved by adding the media server to the master server's list of media servers.

Resolution:
Whenthemediaserveristryingtoconnecttothemasterserver,theconnectionisbeingrejectedbythemaster
becausethemediaserverisnotonthemasterserver'slistofmediaservers.Itisalsopossiblethatthemedia
serverdoesnothaveanentryofitselfintheserverlistonthemediaserver.
Toresolvethiserror,addthemediaservertothemasterserver'smediaserverlist.Checkthemediaserverand
verifythemediaservernameisthereonit'sownserverlist.
UNIXmasterserver:
Addthefollowingentryto/usr/openv/netbackup/bp.conf.
SERVER=<MediaServerName>
WhennobackupsorrestoreoperationsarerunningstopandrestarttheNetBackupdaemonsforthechanges
totakeeffect.
Windowsmasterserver:
FromtheAdminConsole|HostProperties|MasterServer,proceedtotheServertabandaddthemedia
