Python Developer Job Description

Background
The student loan market represents one of the most important, yet least understood, segments
in the US financial services industry. After mortgages, student loans are the largest consumerlending category, even larger than credit cards.
MeasureOne, an information and services company headquartered in San Francisco, was
created to provide vital data and resulting insight to all who participate in this important
market. We build proprietary databases and provide data, analytics software, and services
related to students and student loans. MeasureOne is the first mover in this space, and we have
established a leadership position. We have a huge market opportunity, a great team, and were
growing fast.

Job Purpose
We are currently seeking a passionate Python Developer to join our student data team.

Mandatory Skills

Sound programming experience of 1 to 3 years in Python


Python Skills:
Thorough understanding of basics like Lists, Strings, Indexing, Slicing, Tuples and
Dictionaries
Familiarity with creating classes, constructors, overloading and modules
Thorough understanding of File Handling and Exception Handling
Experience in advanced topics like iterators, generators, dynamic code
execution, regular expressions and data extraction
Knowledge of Data Scrapping would be an added advantage
Strong software and business systems design, analysis and development skills
Experience in developing and/or supporting 24/7 mission critical applications
Should be a team player and be ready to support multiple components of large-scale
applications
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Full SDLC experience

Nice to have

Experience in Financial Industry


Experience in PL/SQL and RDBMS

Qualifications

Requirements
Bachelors degree required, preferably Computer Engineering, IT or other relevant
discipline
Work or project experience that required writing complex database scripts

Role will be based out of Ahmedabad office, with the willingness to work after hours to
