The document provides information about The Mathematics Student, a quarterly periodical published by the Indian Mathematical Society since 1933. It began as a way to publish another periodical in addition to the Journal of the Indian Mathematical Society during the Society's 25th anniversary celebrations in 1932. The first editor was A. Narasingrao who oversaw it for 18 years. The periodical seeks to publish material accessible to postgraduate and research students as well as teachers, including survey articles and problems. It outlines the types of contributions it invites.
