SFOs mission
Promote safe, secure, efficient and economical air transport that is environmentally
sustainable and based on quality.
Alignment between IOSA Strategic Pillars and SFO Strategy 2015-2017
The IOSA Vision and its Strategic Pillars are in full alignment with
SFO mission and Strategy
IATA Six-Point Safety Strategy
o Enhanced quality and compliance
o Support consistent implementation of Safety Management System (SMS)
The Strategic Auditing Plan 2015-2017 fully commits, adopts and embraces the IOSA
Vision and Strategic Pillars.
Safety
Finalize the roll-out of the Transition Plan and support member airlines to meet the
Enhanced IOSA implementation deadline by September 2015. Support the
Regions in increasing the number of airlines on IOSA Registry. Increase the IATA
presence in the IOSA training area.
Enhanced quality and compliance (Six-Point Safety Strategy)
Support consistent implementation of Safety Management System (Six-Point
Safety Strategy)
Effectiveness
Reduce the number of audits performed by regulators and the private sector by
working with regulators to accept IOSA, ISAGO and other IATA audit programs as
equivalent means of assessing compliance.
In consultation with stakeholders, further evaluate the areas of opportunities to
harmonize and standardize Operational Auditing processes. Strengthen the
existing ISO procedures and develop detailed work instructions to ensure
management consistency.
Identify and develop the solution that will allow the audit programs to mitigate the
risk of relying on the underperforming external vendor (for IOSA, ISAGO, ISSA,
IEnvA), that also offers a value proposition to the other IATA audit programs
(IFQP, DAQCP, IDQP) and a better interface with GADM.
Integrity
Strengthen the oversight on the AOs
Standardize the auditing among all IOSA Auditors
Advance the IOSA Auditor qualification requirements and oversight
Further facilitate IOSA Auditors commitment to proficiency and due professional
care
