Teacher stars the lesson with the game:
Simon says. She uses expressions stand up,
sit down, turn around... She also includes
Point to your nose. Or Touch your arms.

Teacher asks pupils to take their class Book


and look at the story on page 20. She plays
the recording, pausing for children to repeat
each line. She divides the class into pairs at
their seats. One child is Rosy and the other is
Billy. Then children practice acting out the
story as they listen to the recording again.
She monitors activity, checking for correct
pronunciation. Then she invites some of the
pairs to come to the front of the class to act
out the story.

Copy the sentences from the Class Book onto
the board. Read them out loud, pointing to
your arms and nose to reinforce meaning.
The class repeats chorally.
Rub out the body words in the sentences. Put
different flashcards in the spaces to elicit
sentences with the same pattern e.g. This is
my face. These are my legs. Children repeat
after teacher. She asks them to rewrite
sentences into their notebook. She explains
them that this is for S and These are for
P. Then she writes some other words (toys,
animals....) and asks pupils to tell her the
plural of nouns.
