There are two main types of animals: those that live on land (earth animals) and those that live in the sea. Earth animals discussed include rabbits, dinosaurs, leopards, kangaroos, lions, giraffes while sea animals mentioned are whales and dolphins. Rabbits have large ears to help detect predators while kangaroos have short front legs but very long back legs and tails to help with jumping. ANIMALS
There are many kinds of animals in the world.Animals can be classified two
kinds.There are kinds of animal that lives in the earth like
dinosaurs,leopard,kangaroo,rabbits,etc.And there are kinds of animal that live in the sea
like dolphin,whales,fish,etc.

The earth animal is Rabbits.Rabbit is a small furry mammals with a short tail and
pointed ears.Rabbits live in burrows in the ground.Each burrow is the home of a single
family.The first fossils which can be attributed to this family came from North America
but now they are found in every part of the world.Compared to its small body rabbit has
large sized ears.A rabbit is aweak and timid animal and is always surrounded by many
enemies.therefore nature has gifted it with large ear to help it to hear even the fun of drop
sound.The large area of the ears catches almost every sound wave produced in the air and
transfers them into the inner ear.This make the rabbit to detect its enemies in time and run
to safety zones.

Like a dinosaurs,dinosaurs is earth animal.They were a type of lizards,and lived


on the earth for about 140 million years.It came from Greek words deinos meaning
terrible and sauros meaning lizard.There are many kinds of dinosaurs.Some of them were
very big and some other were small.Some dinosaurus ate leaves and some others ate
meat.And some dinosaurs could fly.

The other earth animal is Leopard.Leopard is a big cat with bright yellow color
and black spot.People usually call this animal Panther.It is a big animals but its ears are
quite small.It has a long tail and it runs very fast.It jumps very well too.That is why is
good at chasing and catching its preys.To cat its prey.it often hides on atree and waits
until small animals come near.When the animals come near the tree,the leopard jumps
down and kill the animal.A leopard eats all smaller animals.

Kangaroo is also earth animal,Kangaroo is an animal found only in Australia and


it has a smaller relative,called wallaby,which lives on the Australia island of Tasmania
and in New Guinea.Kangaroo eat grass and plants.They have short front legs,but very
long and very strong back legs and a tail.These they use for sitting up on and fof
jumping,Kangaroo have been known to make forward jumps of over eight meters,and
leap across fences more than three meters high.They can also run at speeds of over 45
kilometers per hour.The largest kangaroo are the great grey kangaroo and the red
kangaroo.Kangaroo are marsupial.This means that the female kangaroo has an external
pouch on the front of her body.A baby kangaroo is very tiny when it born,and it crawls at
once into this pouch where it spends its first five mouths of life.
The other earth animal is Lion.Lion is called the king of beast.Lions are found
living wild in the grassland of Africa.They hunt smaller animals and feed on them.There
are no wild animals in European Zoos.Lion has four legs and brown eyes which are
protected by very thick lashes.The male lion is a beautiful animals.All lions have
manes.Round his head he has a ring of long hair called a mane.When the lion is
young,the hair of his mine is yellow.When he is old,the hair is sometimes black.The
female lion, or lioness,doesn’t have a mane.Lions are dangerous animals.They can kill a
man.
Giraffes is also earth animal.Giraffes are tall interesting animals Male giraffes are
usually about six metres tall.half of the giraffes height comes from its neck.which is
longer than its legs.A giraffe has a brown eyes which are protected by very thick
lashes.since it lives in parts of Afrika which usually dry with a great deal of dust .The
lashes are an important source of protection.It can also cover its nostrils in order to
protect its nose.It has brown spots on tan skin and this coloring helps protect the
giraffe.The giraffes also have to short horns on its head.Giraffes usually live in small hard
and often feed with other animals.A baby giraffe is two meters tall at birth.It can stand up
by itself within a few minutes and can run well in about two days.Like the Camel,the
giraffe can go a long time without dringking water.One source of water is the leaves
which the giraffe eats from trees.Since it is so tall the giraffe can reach the tender leaves
at the top of a tree.Giraffes have two methods of self protection.Is something frighten an
adult giraffe,it can gallop away at about fifty kilometers per hours orstay to fight with its
strong legs.

The sea animal like Whales.Whales is a kind of animal that lives in the
sea.Whales are sea living mammals.They therefore breathe air but cannot survive on
land.Superficially,The whale looks rather like a fish,but there are important differences in
its external structure its tail consist of a pair of broad,flat,horizontal paddles,nostril on
top of its large.The skin is smooth and shiny.

Other sea animals is Dolphin.Dolphin is also sea animals.And belong to member


of corphaenidae family.And breathe in the air.Dolphin eat fish,shrimp and small
squid.And usually hunt together in a group.Dolphin lives in salt water oceans,and also
can hold their breath for six minutes.Dolphin have smooth bare skin.Dolphin can leap out
of water and so somersaults.Sometimes they invent their own tricks and stunt after
watching other Dolphins perform.Dolphin are very friendly to people and have never
harmed anyone.They are very playful mammals.

In conclusion,Many kinds of animals in the world became extinct like a


Dinosaurs.Because there was large comet hitting the earth.The comet caused fire and it
killed the trees.Many kinds of animal couldn’t eat because there were no trees on the
earth and finally they died and became extinct.
