DECLARATION OF

CONFORMITY 00

We the undersigned, ATEQ, manufacturers of the ATEQ EP2P REF : 393.01 declare that it
complies with the requirements of :
- LOW VOLTAGE Directive 93/68/CEE regarding :

standard EN 61 010-1 Safety requirements for electrical equipment for measurement,

control and laboratory use ,
- Directive CEM 89/336/CEE partially modified by Directive CEM 92/31/CEE regarding :
standard EN 50 081-2 Industrial environment emission generic standard ,
standard EN 50 082-2 Industrial environment immunity generic standard ,
standard EN 61 000-4-2 Test for immunity to electrostatic discharges ,
standard EN 61 000-4-3 Test for immunity to electromagnetic fields radiated at radio
frequencies ,
standard EN 61000-4-4 Test for immunity to bursts of rapid electrical transients,
standard EN 61000-4-6 Immunity to conducted disturbances induced by radiofrequency
fields ,
standard EN 61000-4-11 Test for immunity relating to voltage dips, interruptions and
variations in voltage .
This enables ATEQ to guarantee that this instrument may be used in complete safety under
the following environmental conditions :
indoor use,
altitude up to 3000 metres,
ambient operating temperature from 5C to 45 C,
100 % maximum relative humidity without condensation,
fluctuation in the supply network voltage not exceeding 15 % of nominal voltage
temporary overvoltages in accordance with INSTALLATION CATEGORY II as in standard
CEI 664,
degree of pollution 2 as in CEI 664 (only non-conductive pollution. However a temporary
conductivity caused by condensation may occasionally be expected ).
The ATEQ EP2P REF 393.01 is equipped with a protective earth terminal located at the
rear of the instrument, connected to the interior in accordance with safety standards. This
terminal is intended for connection to an external earthing system.
The symbol for this terminal is :

Chairman and Managing Director.

Recommendations for electrical testing

intruments
Preventive measures for high voltage
As the voltage of the test can reach 5 kV, a risk of electric shock has to be taken into account.
ATEQ recommends the following for the operators protection :
the use of a bi-manual remote
contrle with a coincidence relay,

the clear delimitation of the safety

zone (floor marking, warning
light) around the test area or the
use of a protection bell over the test
part.

Precautions on the test environnement

Let the test area dry and clean, free from explosive gaz.

Precautions on the operators

ATEQ recommends that the operators using the instruments should have a suitable
qualification and training with respect to the work bench requirements.

General precautions

Read the users manual before using

the instrument,

the electrical main supply must

absolutely have proper earthing,

all electrical connections coming to

the instrument must be equipped
with a safety system (fuse, cicruit
breaker) adapted to the needs and
adhering to the norms,

disconnect
the
electrical
connections to the equipment for
maintenance,

to
avoid
electromagnetic
interferences, the cable connections
to the instrument should be less
than two meters in lenght,

avoid water spillage in the direction

of the instrument,

do not open the instrument under

power voltage,

ATEQ is at your disposal for any

further information concerning the
use of the instrument under
maximum safety conditions.

We would like to bring to your attention that ATEQ will not be held responsible
for any accident connected to the improper use of the instrument, to the work
bench or to the lack of compliance with safety rules.
ATEQ Company is free from any responsibility for any adjustment of its
instrument which would not have been done by its own technicians.

5. INPUT/OUTPUT TIMING CHART

In order to interface the ATEQ EP2P with the equipment (PLC, PC ), the following timing
chart shows the sequencing of the electrical outputs (relay board on Connector J15) in
accordance with the input/output commands on front panel or on the Connector J18 (START,
RESET and sequence number selection).
The timing proposed depends directly on the rotary switch position; this allows selection of
the 2 end of cycles: automatic RESET or STOP.
