No event in history was as important as the Resurrection. This


event sets Christ apart as the firstfruits of those who sleep-that Living,in the Light
is, who have died (see I Corinthians 15:20). Because He lives,
we shall live also. Let us tell the world the Good News .we have
concerning Christ Jesus.

REFLECTION ON THE LESSON


In John 20:30-31, John stated his purpose for writing. John's
purpose was threefold: 1) to produce faith in his readers ("but
these are written, that [you] might believe"). Belief and faith are KEY VERSE
the central message of John to the unbeliever; 2) to teach that those He that loveth his brother abideth in the light,and there is
who believe will receive a great blessing, for they will "have life none occasion of stumbling in him. -1 John 2:JO
through His name"; and 3) to proclaim that Jesus is the Christ, the' ,
Son of God. John spent his whole gospel focusing on these three OBJECTIVES
features. This is why the Resurrection was so important. It verified Upon the completion of this lesson, the students should know
this awesome purpose. that:
1. There is a difference between loving God and loving the world.
2. There are three things that characterize the love of the world.
ASSIGNMENT, PROJECT, OR ACTIVITY 3. Those who love the world cannot love God.
