managed to do something about it.

The mobile stations are the devices that are used by the mobile users in order to
communicate with the fixed net work as well as to communicate with each other.
The base station are fixed devices that on one side communicate with the mobile
stations through wire less links , and on the other side are connected to the fixed
network by wired links .
The collection of base stations together with the fixed network forms a wired
back bone of the wireless network.

Associated with each base station, there is a geographic area, called cell, with in
which a mobile user can communicate with that base station. In order to cover the entire
area and to insure continuity of commutations, cells must overlap.
In order to route calls to your phone the cell towers listen for a signal sent
from the phone and negotiate which tower is best able to communicate with the phone.
As the phone changes location, the towers monitor the signal and the phone is
switched to a different tower as appropriate.
By comparing the relative signal strength from multiple towers a general
location of a phone can be determined.

And there's more. As soon as the theft is identified, the software transfers
the entire address book to the actual owner of the phone within seconds and regularly
communicates with the owner about incoming and outgoing calls.
It also uses some old fashioned psychological pressure. The software
makes the mobile emit a loud alarm at odd hours even when the cell is switched off.
"The incoming calls, outgoing calls and vibrator mode of the mobile are
suspended and gets into the dormant mode. The thief's voice can be picked up and his
intentions can be monitored," says Satyanaraian. Besides this mobile thief catcher,

Technology at the National Innovation Foundation and some venture capitalists fund his
innovations.

Satyanaraian has already won a national award for his innovative.

Integration:
All of Mobile Trackers information can be quickly viewed in Google
Earth's 3D view when you copy the track log file to your desktop computer with
Microsoft ActiveSync. Double clicking on it will open your track log in Google
Earth.
Selecting the track log or clicking on any waypoint brings up a popup with
statistical information.
Furthermore, the track log can be published and shared over the web
using the free Google Maps service. You can easily integrate a track log from your
biking, sailing or running trip into your website or blog. Publish your current and
previous logs to let friends and other people take part in your hobby. By using the
Windows Mobile device you already own you don't need to purchase more expensive
special GPS equipment.
Other programs like NASA WorldWind are compatible to the track logs
as well. The track log format assures an easy to use track log exchange and a troublefree integration into other applications.

the content of MobileTracker.zip to a single directory and use ActiveSync to copy
MobileTracker.cab to your mobile device. Launch MobileTracker.cab from File
Explorer on your device and follow the on-screen instructions
