LIST OF COMPETITIVE EXAMS FOR 12th STD STUDENTS (PCM):

JEE Mains + Adv. (Also for admission in ISM Dhanbad)

Notification Period October End to Mid November


Candidates who have passed Class 12th/ other Qualifying examination in 2013 or
before as well as those who will appear in such examination in 2017 or later are
NOT eligible to appear in JEE (Main) 2016
Candidates who have appeared in class 12th/other Qualifying Examinations in
2013, did not pass in 2013, but passed in 2014 are also NOT eligible to appear in
JEE (Main) 2016.
The eligibility for appearing in JEE (Advanced) 2015 as well as the eligibility for
admission to various institutes may differ and hence the candidate has to ensure
that he/ she adheres to the required criteria put forth.
Number of Attempts: The number of attempts a candidate can appear for JEE
(Main) shall be limited to 03 (three).
Candidates seeking admission to the institutions in the states of Gujarat,
Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Nagaland and Odisha, which were earlier
admitting based on their state level examination, are also advised to verify their
eligibility as per criteria laid down by these state Governments.

KCET Exam:

In between standard Ist to XIIth, the applicant must have studied, for at least 7
years, in Government or Government recognized institution of Karnataka.
If candidate has made more than one attempt for any year, it will be counted as
single year only.
The candidate should pass standard XIth and XIIth from a Karnataka government
recognized institution only.
One of candidates parents should have studied in Karnataka for at least 7 years.
If mother tongue of an applicant and one its parent is Kannnada, Tulu or Kodava
and the candidate have stayed for 7 years in Kannada speaking region of South
Sholapur, Jath, Akkalkot or Gadhinglaj Taluks of Maharahstra or Hosadurga or
Kasargod or Taluks of Kerala, such candidates will have to write Kannada
language exam as well.
Parent(s) of the candidate must be Karnataka Domicile.
Applicants belonging to criteria above should have qualified 12th in state other
than Karnataka. Also should have resided outside Karnataka.

As per KCET 2015 Eligibility Criteria ward of Defence Personnel who have served
in Karnataka for at least one year and still on duty in Active Service and is granted
permission to stay in Karnataka. Such applicants are eligible to write KCET, if they
have passed qualifying exam from a recognized university or Govt. Institution of
Karnataka.
Wards of Jammu and Kashmir Migrants can write KCET if they can submit
certificate of migration attested by District Magistrate and Deputy
Commissioner of India.

BITSAT (Goa, Hyderabad and Pilani Campuses):

The candidates who have qualified 10+2 examination from affiliated state board
or central board with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as mandatory
subjects and have aggregate total minimum 75% in all these subjects are eligible
to apply for the test. The aspirants also must have good command on English and
at least 60% marks in each subject of Mathematics, Physics, and chemistry.
Candidates who are appearing in the final exam of 12th standard or waiting for
the result can also apply for BITSAT 2016 exam.
Students who are presently studying under any of BITS Campus are not allowed
to appear in the exam.

IPU-CET (Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Famous for its


Biotech and Chemical Engineering Programs)

Candidate should pass the 12th Class of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent with
a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately. Candidate must

in the qualifying examination.

Manipal Entrance Exam

COMED-K

Notification Period March Beginning

- The qualifying examinations prescribed for admission for B.E. / B. Arch is second

PUC or 10+2 Higher Secondary or equivalent examination recognized by State /


Central Government; the last two years of study shall comprise of Physics,
Chemistry and Mathematics with English as a compulsory subject.
The General Merit candidates should have passed with a minimum aggregate of
45% marks (40% in respect of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka State) in
Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and should have passed these subjects
individually. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects along with
Chemistry or Bio Technology or Biology or Computer Science or Electronics as
one of the optional subjects. However, changes, if any, in the eligibility criteria by
the AICTE / VTU will be adopted.
An attempt in the COMEDK Entrance Test seeking admission to Engineering
courses is considered adequate for figuring in the rank.
Diploma candidates are not eligible to take the Entrance Test as there are no
lateral entry admissions.

VITEEE (VIT University, Vellore and Chennai Campuses)

- The applicant for admission should be a Resident / Non Resident Indian National.
- Candidates appearing for the VITEEE in 2015 should have secured an aggregate
of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology in the qualifying
examination (+2/Intermediate). The average marks obtained in the subjects
Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB) in +2 (or its
equivalent) put together should be 50% for the following categories:
a) Candidates belonging to SC/ST category
b) Candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir and the North Eastern states of
Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim
and Tripura.
c) CERTIFICATE TO PROVE NATIVITY & COMMUNITY should be produced at the
time of counselling, failing which they will not be considered for admission.
d) Candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are
eligible for all the 15 B.Tech. Programmes.

e) Candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology are eligible for
B.Tech. Bio-Medical Engineering and Biotechnology programmes. They are
also eligible for B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering (Spec. in
Bioinformatics) but after joining, registering Mathematics as bridge course is
mandatory.

AMU Entrance Exam (B.Tech/B.Arch)

The applicants must have qualified Higher Secondary Certificate Examination or
its equivalent under, 10+2 examination scheme, from any acknowledged
state/national board.
The applicants need to have acquired not less than 50% marks in aggregate in

AMU Diploma of engineering holders is also eligible to apply.
The applicants, who have completed their degree in the area of engineering from
any recognized University, are also able to apply entrance examination.

IISC Bangalore Entrance Exam

Candidates who have completed their II PUC / 12th Standard in 2014 and those
who are expecting to complete their II PUC / 12th Standard in 2015 are eligible to
apply. The candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as
main subjects during their II PUC / 12th Standard. Candidates who have studied
Biology, Statistics, Electronics, Computer Science, etc., in addition to Physics,
Chemistry and Mathematics are also eligible to apply. The candidates must have
secured a first class or 60% or equivalent grade (relaxed to pass class for SC/ST
candidates) in the II PUC / 12th Standard examination.

AIPMT (MBBS/BDS)

Notification Period December Beginning


The candidate must have completed the age of 17 years as on December 31,
2016 for admission to 1 year MBBS/BDS course through AIPMT 2016.
The upper age limit for AIPMT 2016 is 25 years as on December 31, 2016. The
upper age limit shall be relaxed by 5 years for candidates belonging to Scheduled
Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Classes
Only those candidates will be eligible to take AIPMT 2016 who have passed in
Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English subjects individually.
Minimum marks for candidates educated abroad seeking admission in medical
colleges in India must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry,
Biology/Biotechnology and English upto Class 12 with 50% marks and their
equivalency determined as per regulations of Medical Council of India and the
concerned university.

KCET Medical

Candidates should have passed 10+2 from a recognised board in India.
Residents of Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible for AIPVT.

India Pre-Veterinary test.

UPCMET (UP Medical Entrance Test)

Candidates who will appear for 10+2/HSC can also apply for AIIMS MBBS 2016
but their candidature will be considered only if they provide documentary
evidence of passing qualifying examination with the required subjects and
percentage of marks
To be eligible for AIIMS MBBS 2016 General and OBC candidates must have
passed 10+2/HSC in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with 60% marks
while qualifying marks for SC/ST is 50%.
Foreign candidate nominated by the Government of India must have obtained a
minimum of 50% marks in the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology
in their Intermediate Science or an equivalent examination. Foreign candidates
are not required to appear for AIIMS MBBS 2016 and their admission is
applicable only to AIIMS, New Delhi.

English is one of the subjects, as in the previous years, to be tested along with
Physics, Chemistry and Biology during COMEDK UGET 2015. The General Merit
candidates should secure not less than 50% marks in English (40% in the case of
SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka) in the entrance test. However, the
marks so secured in English will not be added for the determination of rank
which shall be decided exclusively based on the marks secured by the candidates
in PCB subjects. Further, a candidate is not entitled for a rank if he/she fails to
secure 50% or 40% of the marks as the case may be in English. The paper on
English language will be normally of second PUC or 10+2 standard and will test
the candidates comprehension of the language, the structure of words, phrases,
clauses and sentences.
