The world’s longest way-marked mountain bike route

The Alpine Tour is a mountain bike tour unlike any other. With indi-
vidual legs varying in length and difficulty, it extends out through all
of Upper Styria as far as Graz, the province’s cultural capital, in the
process passing through Styria’s amazing breadth of landscapes, from
the high peaks to the wine country. Each stage can be completed by a
mountain biker with average skills and conditioning within a single day.
But since it is possible to join or leave each leg practically anywhere
along the trail, bikers can custom-tailor their daily travels
however the mood takes them. The routes are clearly posted from start
to finish and can be ridden in either direction. Most of the private­trails GB
are open from April until October, making the Alpine Tour an option
