Is Critically Important

some extraordinar y
things

such
extraordinary things, in fact, as
have never been said before or
since. She tells us that Fatima is
necessary for the very survival
of Christian civilization. She
says, If My requests are granted,
Russia will be converted and
there will be peace.
She also says that if Her
requests are not granted: Russia
will spread her errors throughout
the world raising up wars and
persecutions against the Church.
The good will be martyred, the
Holy Father will have much to
suffer, various nations will be
annihilated.
Our Lady is consistent. She
cannot change Her Message to
suit the whims of people today.
Her words should be enough for
us. But there are those who say:
That was said ninety-six (96)
years ago. People have not paid

attention. Therefore, Our Lady

should give us another, more upto-date message. But those who
say that are wrong.
No One Pays Attention
Now, perhaps it is not quite
accurate to say that no one has
paid attention to Our Ladys
Message, but we can certainly
say that not enough people
(including the Popes, Cardinals,
bishops, and priests) have given
Her Message as much serious
consideration and response as it
demands and deserves.
It is also true, sadly, that many
have paid no attention to Our
Lady of Fatima. Others have given
Her some nominal attention, but
hardly any. Too few have seriously
reflected on Our Ladys words and
taken to heart Her personal plea
for us to amend our lives, to pray
the Rosary every day, and to make
the First Saturday Communions
of Reparation.

Grossly Inadequate
Response
One thing that we can
be absolutely certain
of (judging from the
past ninety-six years)
is that the Message of
Fatima has not been
given enough of a
response from almost
every man, woman,
and child on the face
of the earth. Perhaps
you or someone you
know is an exception
to that statement, but
the history of the past
century establishes the
truth of that conclusion
as a whole.

Our Time Is

Our Lords warning is made
even more vivid by Sister Lucias
description of the vision of the
Third Secret, in which the childseers of Fatima witnessed this
horrible misfortune:
Other Bishops, Priests, men
and women Religious going up
a steep mountain, at the top
of which there was a big Cross
of rough-hewn trunks as of a
cork-tree with the bark; before
reaching there the Holy Father
passed through a big city half in
ruins and half trembling with
halting step, afflicted with pain
and sorrow, he prayed for the
souls of the corpses he met on
his way; having reached the top
of the mountain, on his knees
at the foot of the big Cross he
was killed by a group of soldiers
who fired bullets and arrows at
him, and in the same way there
died one after another the
other Bishops, Priests, men and
women Religious, and various
lay people of different ranks
and positions.
Notice how Our Lord, in His
words to Sister Lucia, draws our
attention back to His request of
1689 through Saint Margaret
Mary Alacoque for the King of
France to consecrate that nation
to His Sacred Heart. His request

for that consecration came 100

years to the day before King
Louis XVI was deprived of his
power to rule by the forces of
Revolution in France. He draws a
direct parallel between these two
requests, which He refers to as
commands, for the consecration
of France to His Sacred Heart and
the Consecration of Russia to the
Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Mercy Has a Time Limit
In asking us to invoke Heavens
aid to save us from our enemies,
He extends to us His mercy. But
it is also clear from this example
of the King of France that when
the time of mercy has elapsed and
the threatening dangers actually
overtake us, they come as an
element of being a punishment
from God.
When 100 years to the day
had elapsed from the time when
the king was commanded to
consecrate France, he suddenly
no longer had the power or
opportunity to do so. It was taken
out of his hands by his enemies.
God allowed that to happen to
indicate that it was a punishment
from Him for despising and
neglecting the remedy which He
had offered.
First there is a time of mercy,
which is real, but which does not
last forever. The time is pre-set by
God. Just as the kings of France

had exactly 100 years in which to

act, there is undoubtedly a preset time during which Heaven
will wait for the Consecration
of Russia. Ninety-six years have
passed since 1917.
We have no guarantee of having
100 years to put off our obedience
to the Queen of Heaven, but even
if we have yet four years to go
before our enemies overrun us,
do we think that four years is a
lot of time? Especially when we
consider how little response this
request has received during the
past ninety-six years, do the next
four years seem ample space for
our efforts?
One might argue that there
are still sixteen years remaining
before 2029, which will be the
100th anniversary of the formal
command to consecrate Russia.
But either way, our time is short.
And besides, it becomes more
difficult each year as our enemies
the enemies of Jesus Christ
become stronger and stronger,
and makes it more and more
difficult for faithful people and
groups to survive.
The important thing to realize
is that we will be held personally
accountable for not doing our part
if we delay any longer to do all in
our power to promote awareness
of this request and to pray and
sacrifice for this intention.

The plain fact of the matter is

that we all collectively, taken
as a whole, and including the
bishops, the priests, the religious,
and the lay faithful have not
taken Our Ladys Message and
Her requests seriously enough
up to this point.
All of us (or almost all of
us) have not taken the Fatima
Message, the Fatima requests, the
Fatima commands of Jesus and
Mary seriously enough. We have
not made them our top priority,
our most important duty our
obligation to do all we can under
pain of sin.
The lament of Sister Lucy
spoken in 1957 is even more true
today:
[T]he Most Holy Virgin
is very sad because no one
has paid any attention to Her
Message, neither the good nor
the bad.
We Must Choose Reality!
We may not want to hear these
things. Some of us may find these
facts too unpleasant to bear. We
would rather hear something
that makes us feel good. But it is
because Jesus and Mary love us
and long for our eternal salvation
that They have revealed to us
the truth of our situation. In our
turn, we must reflect on Their
revelation, because our safety
and our salvation depend on

our adherence to truth. We must

consider these things.
The reality of our situation is
something that we cannot afford
to ignore. If a young child is
near a hot stove and he does not
understand how badly he can be
injured by it, he desperately needs
someone to warn him and keep
an eye on him. Even though he
doesnt understand his situation,
the fact is that he is relying on
someone to prevent him from
hurting himself. That is the reality
of his situation.
The same can be said for all
kinds of aspects of life. We can
get sick or be injured or even
die as a result of the decisions
we make in eating, in driving,
etc. regardless of whether we
realize the dangers around us
or not. There are consequences
for ignoring or for being taken
unaware by the reality of
our situation.
This is all the more true in
the case of Our Ladys warning
about Russias errors spreading
throughout the entire world
unless we beforehand apply for
Her to save us by Her own merits
from the just punishment of our
sins. We are in the gravest danger,
right now, all of us. We are on the
verge of being cruelly conquered
and enslaved, even exterminated
in the most ferocious persecution

ever suffered by the Church, if we

continue to ignore the warning
and the requests of Our Ladys
Message of Fatima.
Time is running out. Our time
is very short. Now more than ever,
we need our Church leaders and
our elected state leaders and
legislators (in Washington, in
Ottawa, in Europe Senators,
Members of Congress, Members
of Parliament, Members of
State Legislatures, Members of
Provincial Legislatures, Mayors,
Aldermen every person charged
with the administration of the
common good) to be made aware
of, and to pay attention to, and
to do all that they can to bring
about obedience to Our Ladys
command. Our response to Her
request for the Consecration of
Russia is now more urgent than
ever. It may soon be too late to
preserve the lives and well-being
of much, if not most, of mankind
living today.
Facts We Must Remember
If you think I exaggerate, I
ask that you stop to reflect on a
few facts:
1. There are weapons that exist
right now and that are ready to
be deployed within as little as
10 MINUTES, which can wipe
out the entire USA i.e., all 300
million American citizens. This
goal of our enemies could be

realized in less than 1 hour after

they fire these missiles.
2. There are enough operational
nuclear weapons in the world
right now in various countries
(U.S.A. BRITAIN, FRANCE, ISRAEL,
RUSSIA, CHINA, INDIA, PAKISTAN AND
NORTH KOREA) to kill every man,

woman, and child on the face

of the earth. In fact, this could
be done MANY TIMES OVER
by means of all of the weapons
already in existence.
3. Various capital cities of the
world (including Rome, London,
Washington, and Moscow, each

with their millions of citizens) have

been permanently targeted for
potential annihilation by at least
one of the nuclear powered
nations listed above.
4. In addition to all of this
potential for destruction, there
are also many powerful and
influential persons among the
true ruling elite of the world who
very seriously plan and intend
to carry this out (or some other
similar plan to achieve the same
results) for the sake of their own
personal gain.

84th Anniversary of the request for
the Consecration of Russia

His Holiness Pope Francis

Vatican City
Most Holy Father,
Faithful Catholics around the world rejoiced at the news that Your
Holiness wished his pontificate to be consecrated to Our Lady of Fatima,
an act that was carried out by the Patriarch of Lisbon, Cardinal Jose da
Cruz Policarpo, on May 13, 2013, the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima.
This consecration is a dramatic demonstration of the enduring relevance
of the Fatima event indeed, its continuing centrality in both ecclesial
and civil affairs. It is, after all, the Roman Pontiffs in succession who,
time and again, have pointed us in the direction of Fatima at a time of
unprecedented crisis in the Church and the world. As your predecessor
declared, exactly two years before the consecration of Your pontificate
to Her:
He deceives himself who thinks that the prophetic mission of Fatima
is fulfilled. Here there takes on new life the plan of God which asks
humanity from the beginning: Where is your brother Abel [] Your
brothers blood is crying out to Me from the ground! (Gen. 4:9).
Mankind has succeeded in unleashing a cycle of death and terror, but
failed in bringing it to an end In Sacred Scripture we often find that
God seeks righteous men and women in order to save the city of man and
He does the same here, in Fatima, when Our Lady asks: Do you want to
offer yourselves to God, to endure all the sufferings which He will send
you, in an act of reparation for the sins by which He is offended and of
supplication for the conversion of sinners?
Holy Father, even a United States Congressman has recently written
to us to declare the importance of Fatima not only for Catholics, but
for the world at large. He writes: It is true that recent economic
crises have kept millions of people in poverty, and that international
conflict continues to disrupt our peace. This is why Our Lady of

Invitation To The Pope

Fatima is as relevant today as She was nearly a century ago. On that
fateful day, the Blessed Virgin appeared in the small village of Fatima
and showed us that if we are faithful to God, He shall return His
love exponentially.
Your Holiness, we believe the time has come to bring the leaders of
Church and State together concerning the imperatives of the Message
of Fatima, and above all its call for the Consecration of Russia to the
Immaculate Heart of Mary as the means of securing true peace in the
world.
Thus, we humbly extend to Your Holiness an invitation to participate
in an extraordinary conference entitled Fatima: The Path To Peace!, to
be held in Niagara Falls, Canada, from September 8-13.
We do not, of course, presume that Your Holiness would be able to
participate in person, given the many demands of the papacy and the
extensive advance planning required for the Pope to travel abroad. But the
privilege of your participation by way of a video address to the conference
or the appearance of a delegate to deliver a message from Your Holiness
would add immeasurably to the capacity of this unprecedented event to
elevate worldwide consciousness of the Fatima Message and its relation
to Gods merciful plan for humanity.
We pray for the favor of your reply to this invitation.

Consecrated
To Our Lady of Fatima!

n May 13, 2013 (the

96th Anniversary of Our
Ladys first apparition
at the Cova da Iria) yet another
milestone was marked on
the long road toward the
Churchs eventual, but divinely
guaranteed, response to Our
Lady of Fatimas requests.

The Holy Father Sends a Clear

Message To the World
Our present Holy Father has
sent a clear message to the world
already in the first two months
of his pontificate: devotion to
Our Lady, and especially to Our
Lady of Fatima, is integral to an
authentic Christian life in our
time. We all have reason to rejoice
that Pope Francis has chosen
to set this tone of a strong and
loving devotion to the Blessed
Virgin, even from the first days of
his pontificate.
In fact, he began the very first
full day after his election on
March 13 with an early-morning
visit to the great Marian shrine,
the Basilica of St. Mary Major

in Rome. Dismissing security

concerns, the new Pope gave
a striking example of fervor
and piety (not overlooked even
by secular journalists) in his
unplanned trip across the city
to spend a half-hour in silent
prayer in Our Ladys arms, so to
speak. He made a special point of
venerating the basilicas famous
icon of Our Lady while he was
there. (The famous portrait,
titled Salus Populi Romani, is
traditionally believed to have
been painted by St. Luke the
Evangelist.) As Catholic World
News reported, the Pope
explained the reason for his visit
specifically in terms of his desire
to place his pontificate under the
patronage of the Madonna.
He also very significantly
returned to take formal
possession of that same
basilica on the First Saturday of
the following May (Our Ladys
month), on May 4. On this visit
he led a large crowd of the faithful
in reciting the Rosary, and he
again made a special point of

Since the Holy Father consecrated his pontificate to Our Lady of Fatima, already the bishops
of the Philippines and of Lebanon have followed suit in consecrating their countries to the
Immaculate Heart of Mary. See articles beginning on pages 16 and 20.

venerating the precious icon of

Our Lady, both before and after
the recitation of the Rosary.
Finally, addressing those standing
outside the basilica for lack of
space within, the Pope expressed
his need for our prayers, and
asked that we pray three Hail
Marys for him.
The Pope Insisted On the
Consecration of His Papacy to
Our Lady of Fatima!
But the most encouraging sign
of our Holy Fathers courage and
independent resolve to put the
demands of Our Lady of Fatima
back on the table (reversing the

continuous policy of various

Vatican Secretaries of State
throughout the past fifty years)
came as he veritably insisted on
a consecration of his pontificate,
1) to Our Lady of Fatima, and
2) by the Cardinal Patriarch
of Lisbon, Portugal, under
whose jurisdiction the Fatima
Shrine resides!
In considering the ramifications
of this request to the Cardinal
Patriarch, Jose Policarpo, one
cannot help thinking of Our
Lords counsel that we be as wise
as serpents, though at the same
time as simple as doves. Granted

of course that this request by

Pope Francis was not the specific
response that Our Lady of Fatima
has awaited since 1929 (the
Consecration of Russia to the
Immaculate Heart of Mary by the
Pope in union with all the Catholic
bishops of the world) and that
our very lives hang in the balance
as this Consecration of Russia is
delayed! it is nevertheless an
encouraging and remarkable
development. It is a gesture of the
greatest significance, and full of
meaning. In professing himself to
be under the patronage and at the
service of Our Lady of Fatima, he
implies as well that he will obey
Her that he will do what Our Lady
of Fatima has asked of the Pope.
What Has Our Lady
Asked For?
Our Lady of Fatima has asked
for a number of things from us.
She has asked us to amend our
lives, and warned us that we must
not offend Our Lord any more,
for already by 1917 He was too
much offended. She has asked
us to pray the Rosary every day
and to wear Her Brown Scapular.
She has asked us to offer Her a
Communion of Reparation on
each First Saturday of the month
(along with a Confession, Rosary,
and fifteen-minutes meditation,
all performed as acts of reparation
for blasphemies and ingratitude

against Her Immaculate Heart).

But there is one thing that Our
Lady of Fatima has asked for that
only the Pope can give to Her: the
collegial Consecration of Russia to
Her Immaculate Heart. I believe
that Pope Francis is determined to
do this for Her. I believe that he
knows he cant do it immediately
he has to lay the groundwork
for it, and lead the bishops to a
position in which he can depend
on their obedience when he
gives the order. This present
order to Cardinal Policarpo was
a masterpiece of human prudence
to that end.
It was remarkable especially in
its boldness and prompt action.
Pope Francis has sent to the
Church a dramatic message which,
as one of his first acts as Pope,
appears to have been intended as
a far-reaching signal of his plans
for the coming days: the longawaited accomplishment of Our
Ladys requests.
He asked for the consecration
to be made to Our Lady of Fatima
rather than to the Immaculate
Heart of Mary. For those familiar
with Our Lords desire to establish
in the world the devotion to the
Immaculate Heart, this may seem
to be a step backward from the
consecrations performed by John
Paul II, who at least got that much
right. But it is possible that Pope
Francis hopes to gain a certain

reconstructive advantage here.

At this point in the struggle, how
many Catholics would recognize
a consecration to the Immaculate
Heart as being associated with the
requests of Our Lady of Fatima?
In specifying Our Lady of Fatima,
Pope Francis has given a real and
unmistakable place of honor to
Her entire Message.
Yes! The Consecration of Russia
IS Possible
Further, in breaking from
the pattern of consecrations
performed by Popes Pius XII, Paul
VI, and John Paul II (which were
almost exclusively papal acts),
and asking one of his bishops to
make this consecration for him,
Pope Francis has demolished
an objection which has been
touted for so long, alleging the
impossibility of consecrating
Russia according to Our Ladys
request. The bishops wont obey
you, Holy Father! previous Popes
have been told by the Secretary
of State.
Cardinal Policar po is
undoubtedly one of those whose
desire to cooperate in such an
act might have been questioned.
But his cooperation was easily
secured, and (as it turned out) led
to a demonstration of a collegial
act of consecration involving
many bishops! Addressing all
the Portuguese bishops in their

181 st Plenary Assembly, he

announced the Popes request
for this consecration and he
expressed his own desire that all
the episcopal conference [would
join] itself to the realization of this
request. The Portuguese bishops
accordingly decided to make this
collegial act at the conclusion of
the Mass of the International
Anniversary Pilgrimage on May
13, the 96th anniversary of Our
Lady of Fatimas first apparition.
The international pilgrimage
was presided over by Brazilian
Archbishop Orani Tempesta of Rio
de Janeiro, and (as Zenit News
Agency reports) drew crowds of
close to 570,000 people during its
two-day celebration, with more
than 37,000 pilgrims walking to
the holy site from various points of
Portugal. A strong representation
of clergy (including 37 bishops
and 290 priests) was also
in attendance.
At the end of the Mass, Cardinal
Policarpo led the Portuguese
Episcopal Conference in
consecrating our Holy Fathers
pontificate to Our Lady of Fatima.
Most Holy Virgin, he
began, we, the Bishops of
Portugal and this crowd
of pilgrims, stand at Your
feet, on the 96th anniversary
of Your apparition to the
little shepherds, in this
Cova da Iria, to fulfill the

clearly expressed wish of

Pope Francis to consecrate
to You, Virgin of Fatima, his
ministry of Bishop of Rome
and Universal Shepherd.
The Cardinal went on in
this prayer of consecration
(lasting about six minutes)
to ask Our Lady of Fatima for
all the graces of discernment
and courage that the
Holy Father will need to
overcome, in charity, the
trials that the renovation of
the Church will bring him.
The local ordinary of LeiriaFatima, Bishop Antonio Marto,
commented on the significance
of this consecration. At a May 12
press conference, he noted:
To consecrate the Ministry
of the Pope to Our Lady of
Fatima ... means ... to entrust
to Mary his person, his
Ministry, and his intentions
for the spiritual reform of the
Church. ...
Bishop Marto also addressed
the pilgrims on May 13 after the
act of consecration, reading a
message of thanks communicated
to Cardinal Policarpo from Pope
Francis through the Apostolic
Nunciature in Portugal:
The Holy Father expressed
his pleasure over the initiative
and his profound gratitude
for the realization of his
wish, in union of prayer with

all the pilgrims of Fatima, to

whom he grants his heartfelt
Apostolic Blessing, said
Bishop Marto.
Bishop Marto summed up the
import of this entire event well
in another statement given at his
May 12 press conference:
Pope Francis was and still
is a surprise. ...
In all, we have seen a great and
encouraging step taken toward
another solemn and public
ceremony the one requested by
Our Lady of Fatima Herself, which
will bring about Her Triumph
over the mystery of iniquity in
this world.
The ceremony of May 13, 2013
gives us real reason to hope that
our present Holy Father will be
the one to at last order all the
bishops of the world to join him
in consecrating Russia to the
Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Let us continue to offer our
fervent prayers and sacrifices
that this is done in time to prevent
the most dire of Her warnings
the worldwide martyrdom
of the good, unspeakable
sufferings for the Holy Father,
and the annihilation of
various nations. |
Pray, pray for the Holy Father.
He will do it (the Consecration
of Russia) but it will be late.

And Lebanon To The
Immaculate Heart Of Mary
June 13, 2013 marked the 84th anniversary of Our Ladys request for the
Consecration of Russia.
Eighty-four (84!) years have passed since Our Lady most solemnly stated
on June 13, 1929, The moment has come in which God asks the Holy
Father to make, and to order that in union with him and at the same
time, all the bishops of the world make the consecration of Russia to My
Immaculate Heart, promising to convert it because of this day of prayer and
worldwide reparation.
Our Lord has longed for this Consecration throughout all these years. They have
been years of unprecedented sin and bloodshed and human misery 84 years
which have tragically verified Our Ladys warning: Without the Consecration,
Russia will not be able to convert, nor will the world have peace.
Can any of us fathom Our Lords desire to see His Mothers Immaculate Heart
honored alongside His Own Sacred Heart? Our Ladys revelation of June 13, 1917
holds a world of meaning: Jesus wishes to make use of you to make Me known
and loved. He desires to establish in the world devotion to My Immaculate Heart.
In the spring of 1943, Our Lord appeared to Sister Lucy to express the joy of His
Heart over Pope Pius XIIs December 1942 consecration of the Church and the
world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. As Sister Lucy told her bishop: The good
Lord has already shown me His pleasure in the act of the Holy Father and the
various bishops, although incomplete according to His desire. In exchange, He
promises to bring the war to an end soon, but the conversion of Russia will not take
place yet.
On June 16, 2013 (the Sunday following the 84th anniversary of Heavens request),
another historic consecration took place which also undoubtedly gave Our Lord
great joy. The entire Episcopate of Lebanon, as well as the Papal Nuncio to
Lebanon, and all of the Eastern Catholic Patriarchs of the Middle East gathered in
the National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon to solemnly consecrate Lebanon and
the Middle East to the Immaculate Heart of Mary!
The entire Church in Lebanon prepared fervently for this consecration. For forty
days before the event, a special image of Our Lady traveled to every parish in the

nation. And at the time of the consecration itself, every parish was united to the
ceremony in a great union of prayer.
The Catholic faithful and bishops alike in Lebanon know how dangerous their
situation is. If only all Catholics throughout the world could recognize that our
own situation is equally dire, and would take to heart the example of the devout
Lebanese faithful! We must all lose no more time in entrusting ourselves to Her
Who alone can help us!
What follows is the text of this beautiful Act of Consecration of Lebanon. We
can only try to imagine all the graces that this solemn ceremony honoring the
Immaculate Heart of Mary will bring down upon the world, and especially to
the war-torn Middle East. Let us rejoice with Our Lord in seeing devotion to the
Immaculate Heart thus further established in the world, and at the same time lets
redouble our prayers that He bring about the speedy realization of that final step
toward Our Ladys Triumph the Consecration of Russia. As She said, we must
sacrifice ourselves for this intention and pray!

Below is the Text of the Act of Consecration which was prayed on Sunday,
June 16, 2013 by all the Catholic bishops of Lebanon and all the Eastern
Catholic Patriarchs of the Middle East following solemn Holy Mass.

ost Holy Virgin Mary,

Mother of God and
our Mother, You have
been chosen by God Our Father,
through the action of the Holy
Spirit, to become the Mother
of His Incarnate Son; You lived
perfectly the obedience of faith,
united, by your motherhood,
to Your Son Jesus, by an
indissoluble bond, thus listening
to His words, treasuring up all
these things and pondering them
in Your heart; You accompanied
Him throughout His early life
in Nazareth, where He was
growing in wisdom and stature
and in favor with God and man;
You interceded with Him in

Cana of Galilee, You suffered

with Him in Your motherly heart
on the foot of the Cross and
participated in the redemption
that He accomplished, He,
the only Redeemer of the
world, for the sake of the entire
humanity in every time and

Our Lady of Lebanon, we ask
You to bestow Your tenderness

Lebanon and all the Middle East,
this region which soil witnessed
the fulfillment of the events of
His plan of redemption and from
where the Church, by the grace of
the Holy Spirit, took off to bring
the Good News to the entire
populations, bearing witness to
the Lord Jesus until martyrdom
and acting as the guarantor of
the treasure of faith, in order to
transmit it from generation to
generation, until it reached us.
O Mother of the Church, Help
us through Your intercession, for
we are the sons and daughters of
the Church to which You belong
and whose model, mother and
teacher You are, so that we live
the Communion of Love among

human and Christian values in our
family, social and national lives,

Philippine Bishops
Consecrate Their Country To
The Immaculate Heart Of Mary

he Faith was brought to

these islands in the 16th
Century and for more
than three and a half centuries
Catholicism enjoyed expansive
growth, weaving itself into the
warp and woof of this nation
which was to emerge as the only
Christian country of significant
proportions in the Orient.
Then just as the 19th Century
was to end, Protestantism
and Masonry confronted the
Church in the Philippines. The
missionaries from the United
States arrived and began the
process of Protestantization of
the Philippines through the public
educational system.
On an immediate basis was
the serious threat of the rise
of Aglipayanism, a home grown
version of Anglicanism which
tore away so many Catholics
from holy mother Church on a
massive scale. This amidst and
after scenes of the fighting of
the Philippine Revolution of
1898, which was very much a
product of Freemasonry. This

had taken root and engendered

anti-Catholicism among its
adherents, manifesting itself
largely in an anti-friar outlook
which, as a consequence, resulted
in the expulsion of the Spanish
missionaries after centuries and
decades of dedicated service in
the ministry.
But the Church survived the
challenge and assault. The
Philippines remained Catholic.
Then the crisis of the postVatican II era swept the Church
starting around the late 1960s
and the Church in our country
was not left unspared its effects.
One of the worst evils in the
post-Conciliar period has been
the clergy sex crisis in developed
countries which had been
the focus of media attention
some months back and did not
sweep by without affecting the
Filipino priesthood.
But despite the internal crisis in
the Church of our time which has
seen the decimation of the Church
in other countries, of which

The Immaculate Heart of Mary sees

the plight that ALL countries are in
and offers the ONLY solution out of
the current crisis in the world and in
the Church.
Let us pray that more Catholic
Bishops National Conferences will
follow in consecrating themselves
and their countries to Her
Immaculate Heart as Portugal, the
Philippines and Lebanon
have done.
Perhaps the graces earned, the
conversions seen and the solace
found under the protective mantle
of Our Lady will soon encourage all
nations to call for the Consecration
of Russia to Her Immaculate Heart
according to Her request.

sexually deviant clergy is just one

manifestation, the churches in
the Philippines are still full on
Sundays and the Filipinos cling
to the Faith despite the all too
human failures of its ministers.
The Philippines Church wobbles

and totters amidst a rising flood

of secularism, consumerism and
materialism but the Church in this
nation has not seen the ecclesial
meltdown experienced in Western
society. We are Catholic no matter
how nominal, which we contrast

with the experience of other

countries who have witnessed
apostasy among their Catholic
populations, their peoples leaving
the Church and abandoning the
Faith completely.
Prayer Accesses Divine Grace
For Our Souls
Our Catholicism, no matter
how superficial so long as we pray,
will access divine grace for our
souls and thus we are not totally
in the dark as are those who have
set aside the Faith in a manner
that it no longer has anything to
do with their lives.
From whence does the Catholic
faith draw its staying power
among Filipinos?
For sure the religious psychology
of Filipinos has much to do with
it, a religious psychology quite
different from that of those from
present-day Western society
[Ed. Note: who have lost the
Catholic sense of devotion to the
Blessed Virgin Mary] and whose
deepest longings are, to one
extent or another, satisfied by
the devotional life in the Church.
A very noteworthy standout in
Philippine Catholic devotional
life is recourse and prayer to the
Blessed Virgin Mary.
[The Shrines of Our Lady in
the Philippines are spread out
among many cities. For example,]

Piat in Cagayan, Namacpacan

in La Union, Manaoag in
Pangasinan, Antipolo in Rizal,
de Guia in Ermita, Consolacion
in Intramuros, del Carmen in
Quiapo, Desamparados in Santa
Ana, del Rosario and Lourdes
in Quezon City, Perpetual Help
in Baclaran, de los Remedios
in Pampanga, Penafrancia in
Bicol, de la Regla in Opon, Cebu,
Candelaria in Jaro, del Pilar in
Zamboanga these come to mind
when we make a quick survey of
the history of the Christianisation
of these islands.
The evangelization of the
Philippines went apace with its
Marianization and in a very
true sense, the conversion of
these islands to the true Faith is
unthinkable without the Blessed
Virgin Mary. It is thus well within
the bounds of reason to project
that so long as the Filipino
perseveres in devotion to Mary,
the Philippines will stay Catholic.
It is within this context of the
decisive role of Marian devotion
in the evangelization of the
Philippines that we view the
collegial decision of the Catholic
Bishops Conference of the
Philippines in consecrating the
entire country to the Immaculate
Heart of Mary on June 8, 2013.

Reproduction Health Bill

Deals a Mortal Blow
The Church in the Philippines
had just been dealt a mortal
blow with the enactment of the
Reproductive Health Bill as a
law of the land. Going by the
experience of other countries with
contraception, the Reproductive
Health Bill now part of the
legal landscape of the country
will wreck home and family,
destabilizing marriage and
tearing conjugal unions apart,
corrupting youth into early vice
and paving the way for the spread
of abortion whether accessible de
facto or legally de jure.
Our pastors are leading us to
the only, emphasize only, feasible
defense against the the RH Law.
1931 Consecration to Mary
Transforms Portugal
There is the precedent of the
Portuguese episcopacy in the
1930s. Gathered around Manuel
Cardinal Cerejeira, the bishops of
Portugal gave public testimony
of their trustful devotion to Our
Lady. The Portuguese episcopacy
decided that on May 13, 1931,
a national pilgrimage organized
under the direction of all the
bishops of Portugal would
solemnly consecrate their country
to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Among other intentions during
this national consecration, the

Portuguese bishops led their

people in praying:
Intercede for Portugal, Our
Lady, in this troubled hour
when the unclean waves of an
open immorality, which has
even lost the notion of sin, exalt
the rehabilitation of the flesh
in the face of the very Cross of
Your Son, threatening to choke
in this world the lily of virtue
nourished by the Eucharistic
Blood of Jesus. Virgin most
powerful, pray for us!
Portugal Transformed
On May 13, 1942, during
the anniversary observance
of the apparitions, the
Patriarch of Lisbon used very
definite language:
Yes, we are firmly convinced
that we owe the wonderful
transformation of Portugal
to the protection of the Most
Holy Virgin.
Cardinal Cerejeira recalled
that it was the sheer number
of conversions that convinced
him and led to his belief in the
authenticity of Fatima:
I was one of those who did
not believe in the miracle at the
beginning. To me it seemed like
a bad counterfeit of Lourdes ...
Fatima, however, managed to
overcome the prudent reserve
of the Church ... The pilgrimage
continually grew. It produced

more and more conversions

of unbelievers, and there was
talk of healings ... From my
house ... when the twelfth and
thirteenth would come during
pilgrimage months, I would
see continual processions of
automobiles lasting for hours.
This enthusiasm which
increased from year to year,
although it lacked all external
help, and was even opposed,
along with the knowledge
of miraculous facts and the
abundance of spiritual fruits,
began to shake my indifference
...
In 1928, I was elevated to
the episcopate and ... I began
to see the fervor aroused in the
parishes by devotion to Our
Lady of Fatima. Some of my
colleagues in the episcopate
used to say to me: Go to Fatima,
sit down in a confessional
and you will see. Really, the
Pentecost of conversions was

The Philippines Now Needs Help
Like Portugal Received
Frre Michel, in commenting
on the massive socio-moral
changes consequent on the
apparitions and episcopal
consecration, observes:
To save Portugal more

effectively
and
durably,
Our Lady of Fatima was not
content with converting souls
by leading each one to God
individually. No, She wished
to make this land of Portugal
which was consecrated to Her
once more, a real country of
Christendom again, where
social and political life
itself would be completely
permeated by the great light
of the faith and the energies
of divine grace, through the
ministry of the Church. Pope
Pius XII was not afraid to
describe in eloquent terms this
radical change in national life,
designating Our Lady of Fatima
as its original and true cause:
In a tragic hour of darkness
and distress, when the ship of
state of Portugal, having lost
the guide of her most glorious
traditions and driven off her
course by anti-Christian and
anti-national currents, seemed
to be running for certain
shipwreck, unconscious of
present or future dangers ...
Heaven, which foresaw these
dangers, intervened, and in the
darkness light shone out ...

In view of the institutionalization of Reproductive Health

policies through the passage of
the RH Law, is not the Philippines
in need of radical socio-moral
transformation? Is not politics
the medium where those who

work against Family and Life

are affecting most rapidly the
socio-moral changes and values
in family life? Is the Philippines
not headed for certain shipwreck
now that the enemies of the
Family have the legal weapon to
use with the full support of the
state apparatus to promote the
maximum use of contraception
and abortifacients? Is not
Philippine social and political life
needful of the light of the Faith
and the converting energies of
divine grace on a large scale?
Grace Comes To Us
Through Mary
Even earlier than the Fatima
apparitions of 1917, Pope Leo XIII,
in his encyclical of September 22,
1891, taught:
therefore no less correctly
can one affirm that absolutely
nothing of that great treasury
of all grace which the Lord
brought us (for grace and and
truth came by Jesus Christ)
nothing of it is given to us
except through Mary, for such
is the will of God: so that just
as no one can go to the Most
High Father except through the
Son in much the same way no
one can come to Christ except
through His Mother.
Nothing in the order of grace
except through Mary such is the
teaching of this Pope which was

actualized in Portugal because

her bishops decided to tap into
the one and only source of
grace willed for us by the Savior
Himself. So dramatic was the
moral conversion of their country
that the Portuguese episcopacy
characterized in 1942 the change
to have been nothing short of
a miracle:
Anybody
who
would
have closed his eyes twentyfive years ago and opened
them now would no longer
recognize Portugal, so vast is
the transformation worked by
the modest and invisible factor
of the apparition of the Blessed
Virgin at Fatima. [Cardinal
Cerejeira]
Absolutely nothing of that
great treasury of all grace is
channeled to us except through
Mary such is the teaching of Pope
Leo XIII. This is the reason we do
not hesitate to declare that the
Philippine bishops have set us on
the only possibly effective course
to counter the monumental
evils in contemporary society,
the reversal and nullification of
RH being a priority concern. We
discern that in the movement of
Divine Providence in our time
that any other response that does
not incorporate or invoke Marys
universal mediation of grace in
the end will not be as efficacious
as that which acknowledges and

includes the Blessed Virgins

unique intercessory role in our
lives as it is willed by God Himself.
The Portuguese bishops have
proven it to be so in 1931 and
we have their testimony that it
has been so for their country in
the years following their national
consecration to the Immaculate
Heart, and we in the Philippines
can very well expect to reap a
spiritual harvest of conversions
in proportion to the amount of
time, talent and resources we put
behind this consecration initiative
of the Philippine bishops.
We cannot fight those who
oppose the Church as the RH
promoters do as they have all
the funds and resources and
we have practically none; we
can, however, by Gods grace
passed through the conduit of
the Immaculate Heart, convert
them. The RH network has all the
material and financial resources;
we in the Marian and Pro-life
Movement on the other hand have
all the spiritual resources, and all
that is necessary is to connect to
this link, the Immaculate Heart
from whence all graces without
exception are mediated to us.
The orthopraxis of Marian
consecration finds its doctrinal
underpinning in the teaching of
universal mediation in the order
of grace by the Blessed Mother

as has been handed down to us

in the Church.
Thus, Mary, in Her apparitions
in the Philippines, could declare
that Her message at the Carmel
of Batangas was the same as
that in Fatima, for the doctrine
of universal mediation expressed
in Lipa undergirds the devotional
practice of Marian consecration
as asked for at Fatima. Lipa is the
teaching, Fatima the application.
This Marian consecration of
June 8, 2013 will hopefully be the
beginning of an ever deepening
offering of ourselves to the Blessed
Virgin Mary by the imitation of
the saints in their devotion to Her
St. Louis Grignion de Montfort
who leads us on in his 33 days of
Marian spirituality and an ever
more inclusive outreach by the
propagation of the teachings of
the Marian saints throughout
the length and breadth of the
archipelago thus making the
Philippines ever more Her
precious and beloved Pueblo
Amante de Maria.
Let us, with childlike faith,
listen to that child seer of Fatima,
Jacinta, who wished to urge one
and all and in her zeal echoed
Pope Leo XIII:
Tell everybody that God grants
graces through the Immaculate
Heart and that they must ask
them from Her. |

presents obedience to Our Lady

conference is not an ecumenical
event in any way. It is a collection

ultimately promotes the Catholic
solution for world peace and
prosperity given by Our Lady of
Fatima Herself.
The conference is also aimed
at Civil Leaders of good will. In
fact, The Fatima Center now has
a motion before the European
Union Parliament urging MEPs
to formally request the Pope
to consecrate Russia to the
Immaculate Heart of Mary and
various European civic leaders
are involved in this project (see The
Fatima Crusader, Issue 104, Winter 2013).

health care have the highest rate

Government Spying:
Should We Be Shocked?
As Dr. Paul is a speaker at our Fatima: The Path To Peace! Conference, we publish
here his timely June 10 column about the now-divulged scandal of the National
Security Agencys massive surveillance of innocent American citizens.

ast week we saw dramatic

new evidence of illegal
government surveillance
of our telephone calls, and of
the National Security Agencys
deep penetration into American
companies such as Facebook
and Microsoft to spy on us. The
media seemed shocked.
Many of us are not so surprised.
Some of us were arguing back
in 2001 with the introduction of
the so-called Patriot Act that it
would pave the way for massive
US government surveillance
not targeting terrorists but rather
aimed against American citizens.
We were told we must accept this
temporary measure to provide
government the tools to catch
those responsible for 9/11. That
was nearly twelve years and at
least four wars ago.
We should know by now that
when it comes to government
power-grabs, we never go back
to the status quo even when the
crisis has passed. That part of

our freedom and civil liberties

once lost is never regained. How
many times did the Patriot Act
need to be renewed? How many
times did Foreign Intelligence
Surveillance Act (FISA) authority
need to be expanded? Why did
we have to pass a law to grant
immunity to companies who hand
over our personal information to
the government?
It was all a build-up of the
governments capacity to
monitor us.
The reaction of some in
Congress and the Administration
to last weeks leak was
predictable. Knee-jerk defenders
of the police state such as Senator
Lindsey Graham declared that
he was glad the government
was collecting Verizon phone
records including his own
because the government needs
to know what the enemy is up
to. Those who take an oath to
defend the Constitution from
its enemies, both foreign and

domestic, should worry about

such statements.
House Intelligence Committee
Chairman Mike Rogers tells us
of the tremendous benefits of
this Big Brother-like program.
He promises us that domestic
terrorism plots were thwarted,
but he cannot tell us about them
because they are classified.
I am a bit skeptical, however. In
April, the New York Times reported
that most of these domestic
plots were actually elaborate
sting operations developed and
pushed by the FBI. According to
the Times report, of the 22 most
frightening plans for attacks since
9/11 on American soil, 14 were
developed in sting operations.
Even if Chairman Rogers is
right, though, and the program
caught someone up to no good,
we have to ask ourselves whether
even such a result justifies
trashing the Constitution. Here
is what I said on the floor of the
House when the Patriot Act was
up for renewal back in 2011:
If you want to be perfectly
safe from child abuse and wife
beating, the government could
put a camera in every one of our
houses and our bedrooms, and
maybe there would be somebody
made safer this way, but what
would you be giving up? Perfect
safety is not the purpose of

government. What we want from

government is to enforce the law
to protect our liberties.
What most undermines the
claims of the Administration
and its defenders about
this surveillance program is
the process itself. First the
government listens in on all of our
telephone calls without a warrant
and then if it finds something,
it goes to a Foreign Intelligence
Surveillance Act (FISA) court and
gets an illegal approval for what
it has already done! This turns
the rule of law and due process
on its head.
The government does not
need to know more about
what we are doing. We need
to know more about what the
government is doing.
We need to turn the cameras on
the police and on the government,
not the other way around. We
should be thankful for writers like
Glenn Greenwald, who broke last
weeks story, for taking risks to let
us know what the government
is doing. There are calls for
the persecution of Greenwald
and the other whistle-blowers
and reporters. They should be
defended, as their work defends
our freedom. |

The Failure of Humanity in

Generals children, for them to try
and understand why the father
they saw leave for a UN mission in
1993 and the soldier who returned
in August 1994 was not the same
father.

of over 800,000 souls (both Tutsi
and Hutu) and was dedicated
to the Rwandans, abandoned to
their fate, who were slaughtered
in the hundreds of thousands, to
the fourteen UN soldiers under
his command who died bravely in
the service of peace and humanity
and to his researcher, who died
while working so hard to tell
the story.
In 2004, on the tenth anniversary
of the date that UN peacekeepers

landed in Rwanda, Random House

first-hand account of the genocide
by the man who led the UN mission.

ask them to step into the worlds
dirty wars.

lend it to the governments of
underdeveloped nations. They
know that these are risky loans, so
they charge an interest rate that
is high enough to compensate. It
is more than what they expect to
receive in the long run.

4. The final play is well, in this
version of the game there appears
to be no final play, because the
plan is to keep the game going
forever. To make that possible,
certain things must happen
that are very final, indeed. They
include the conversion of the
IMF into a world central bank
as Keynes had planned, which
then issues an international fiat
money. Once that Bank of Issue
is in place, the IMF can collect
unlimited resources from the
citizens of the world through
the hidden tax called inflation.
The money stream then can be
sustained indefinitely with
or without the approval of the
separate nations because they
will no longer have money of
their own.
Economies Doomed
Since this game results in a
hemorrhage of wealth from
the industrialized nations,
their economies are doomed to
be brought down further and
further, a process that has been
going on since Bretton Woods
(1944). The result will be a severe
lowering of their living standards
and their demise as independent
nations. The hidden reality
behind so-called development

loans is that America and other

industrialized nations are being
subverted by that process.
That is not an accident; it is
the essence of the plan. A strong
nation is not likely to surrender
its sovereignty. Americans would
not agree to turn over their
monetary system, their military,
or their courts to a world body
made up of governments which
have been despotic to their own
people, especially since most
of those regimes have already
revealed anti-American hostility.
But if Americans can be
brought to the point where they
are suffering from a collapse
of their economy and from a
breakdown in civil order, things

will be different. When they

stand in bread lines and face
anarchy in their streets, they
will be more willing to give
up sovereignty in return for
assistance from the World

demise of Communism can be
arranged ahead of time to make
it appear that the worlds major
political systems have converged
into the common denominator of
social democracy.
The underdeveloped nations,
on the other hand, are not being
raised up. What is happening to
them is that their political leaders

are becoming addicted to the IMF

cash flow and will be unable to
break the habit. These countries
are being conquered by money
instead of arms. Soon they will
no longer be truly independent
nations. They are becoming
mere components in the system
of world socialism planned by
Harry Dexter White and John
Maynard Keynes. Their leaders
are being groomed to become
potentates in a new, high-tech
feudalism, paying homage to
their lords in New York. And they
are eager to do it in return for
privilege and power within the
New World Order. That is the
final play. |

Let Processions
Come Hither

ate in the winter of 1890, as

the now-Venerable Father
Nelson Baker looked over
the heating and lighting bills
for the various buildings he had
established in honor of Our Lady
of Victory the orphanages, the
schools, the convents, the homes
he reflected on the recent
discoveries of natural gas in the
western New York area. Natural
gas was what he needed. Then he
would be able to eliminate those
major expenses, and to direct
his funds to the care of souls and
other more useful work in honor
of his beloved Lady of Victory, to
whose service he had dedicated
his priestly life.
Taking this intention to his
Queen in many hours of prayer,
he borrowed money from the
diocese and made arrangements
for drillers to meet him behind
the schools on a certain day. He
announced a solemn high Mass
and procession in Her honor, to
which all were invited.
That fateful day, as the drillers
stood watching in the lot and

waiting to see the geological

studies which would show them
where to drill, the procession
meandered around them in
no particular pattern, but all
following Father Nelson Baker.
Suddenly Father Baker stopped;
the children in First Communion
best, bearing flowers in Our
Ladys honor, stopped. The Sisters
of St. Joseph and the Brothers
of the Holy Infancy stopped.
The men and women carrying
banners, who had been singing
and reciting prayers to Our Lady
of Victory, stopped. With a most
joyful countenance, Father Baker
turned to the astonished work
crew with the announcement,
Here is where you shall find gas.
Drilling Against the Odds!
Over the next several weeks,
Father Bakers confidence in
Our Lady of Victory was to be
challenged. By the end of the first
week after they had started, the
drillers were telling Father that
there was no gas to be found. But
Father Baker smilingly told them

to keep drilling.
By the end of the second week,
the drillers were insisting to him
that no gas was to be found
on his land. But Father Baker
instructed them to keep drilling.
By the end of the fourth week,
the newspapers were mockingly
describing the activity at his
parish church as Father Bakers
Folly; the bishop was threatening
to cut off any additional financial
assistance on the project; and the
drillers were pleading with the
redoubtable priest to save his
money and cease drilling.
In response to all these who
faltered in their trust of Our Lady
of Victory, Father Baker reminded
his parishioners, Sometimes it
seems that She deliberately tests
our faith by letting us wait for
success, but She never fails us.
With July past and the Feast
of Our Ladys Assumption
approaching, Father Baker led
the preparatory novena at his
parish. Many tried to secondguess Heaven and anticipated the
discovery of oil on that feast day,
but the festival came and went
without any success. Father Baker
immediately started another
public novena, with the intention
of the discovery of natural gas.
In the evening of August 21,
the eighth day of the novena, a
messenger approached Father

Baker as he was finishing

Benediction. Father, he
whispered, they want you at the
well. They think theyve hit gas.
Father Baker did not abandon
the altar, but finished all prayers
before the Blessed Sacrament
with fervent thanksgiving. By the
time he reached the well, those
who had been at Benediction had
gathered around the work area in
the parish field, eager to see the
outcome. Although the drillers
showed Father Baker the signs
of gas they had encountered,
Father Baker insisted that they
quit for the evening because it
was already late. No doubt Father
had many thanks to pray to Our
Lady of Victory that night.
By the time the drillers reported
for work the next morning, the
excitement was palpable. Several
hundred families and locals had
gathered at the site, each trying
eagerly to get a good view. The
crew engaged the drills, and
were barely two feet into the
drilling when the gas exploded,
sending a water jet eighty feet
into the air. Although one soul
perished in that explosion, the
three small children who were
precariously injured one of
whom was thrown fifty feet into
the air recovered astoundingly,
under the watchful prayers of
Father Baker.

The gas well, along with a

second that was sunk nearby
in the following years, has
continued to flow for more than
120 years, supplying the virtual
town of basilica, hospitals,
schools, etcetera that belong to
the development of Our Lady
of Victory, in Lackawanna,
New York (next to Buffalo).
This extraordinary location, an
across-the-river neighbor to the
Fatima Center, is a symbol of the
plenitude of graces God wants to
impart to His children through
Our Lady: although August 22,
the date of the 1891 discovery,
was not, at that time, a feast day
on the liturgical calendar, we now
observe the date as the Feast of the
Immaculate Heart.
Thus, it also vindicates
pointedly Our Lords words to
Sister Lucy in 1936: ... I will that
My whole Church acknowledge
that consecration [of Russia]
as a triumph of the Immaculate
Heart of Mary, so as to extend
its devotion later on and to place
the devotion to Her Immaculate
Heart alongside devotion to My
Sacred Heart.
One might ponder the
confidence Father Baker had in
Our Lady of Victory. What if there
had been no miraculous discovery
of natural gas? Wouldnt he and
Our Lady have suffered public
humiliation? But perhaps that is

precisely what God wants us to

risk for Him: our face. When
public honor is given to Almighty
God, such that man effectively
says, I can do nothing by myself,
only then can God show, in
infinitude, both His omnipotence
and His love for Man.
Our Lady Wants Processions
Public procession is one of the
chief honors man can offer God;
it is a type of prayer which has
gained many blessings from God
in mans hour of need. Cities
have been saved and tides have
been averted through public
processions and prayer. St. Louis,
King of France, commanded many
processions during his Crusade to
the Holy Land.
A good priest on his ship
told him that, in his parish,
whenever he had had trouble
from drought or too much rain
in any trouble, indeed he had
held three processions on three
Saturdays, and immediately God
and His Mother had rid them of
the trouble.
At that moment, his sailing
ships were suffering from the
lack of any wind, and St. Louis
immediately ordered a solemn
procession around the deck
of his ship. God answered his
prayers almost immediately;
on several other occasions
reported by his biographer, St.

Louis ordered this spiritual

weapon, always obtaining the
desired recourse.
God wills that He be honored
publicly, that all might know His
power. The first biblical procession
effected the Israelites taking of
Jericho (Josue 6) and was worked
that all the people of the earth
may learn the most mighty hand
of the Lord, that you also may fear
the Lord your God forever. (Josue
4:25).
God wills that Our Lady be
honored, too; His Most Perfect
Creature, His Mother, His Spouse
bespeaks the loving compassion

Our Lady of Fatima
Our Only Solution
Only Our Lady of the Rosary of
Fatima can help us, as She Herself
told us. We must do precisely
what She requests. Without this
obedience to Her, we will not
escape what Cardinal Ratzinger
has called the dangers which
threaten the faith and the life
of the Christian and therefore
[the lives] of the world.
Those quoted words of Cardinal

Ratzinger, by the way, were his

description of what, in part, was
in the real Third Secret (see Jesus
magazine, November 11, 1984).
Our Lady has told us in the Third
Secret that our very lives even
our faith, the very basis of our
hope for salvation are in danger.
The fact is that unless we obey
Our Ladys requests (especially
for the daily Rosary and the
Consecration of Russia), we
may not have Our Ladys merits
to shield us personally from the
just punishments of God that are
about to overtake the world.
How do we know that the
Consecration of Russia is
necessary for our well-being?
As Our Lady explained to
Sister Lucy, Without that
consecration, Russia will not
be able to convert, nor will
the world have peace. And as
Sister Lucy herself explained to
Father Fuentes in 1957:
[M]any times, the Most
Holy Virgin told my cousins,
Francisco and Jacinta, as well
as myself, that many nations
will disappear from the face
of the earth. She said that
Russia will be the instrument
of chastisement chosen by
Heaven to punish the whole
world [for its sins] if we do
not beforehand obtain the
conversion of that poor nation.

it as the chosen instrument

world. And by Our Ladys own
words, we know that the only
means of obtaining Russias
conversion is its Consecration
to the Immaculate Heart of
Mary specifically, exclusively
Russia by the Pope and the
Catholic bishops in the manner
requested by Our Lady and Our
Lord in the Fatima Message.
Our Bishops
Dont Seem to Understand
How is it that most previous
Popes and many bishops today
have failed to understand
this? Do they understand that
there is no other solution to
our problems? Maybe they
think that we can continue to
live with our problems with no
worse consequences because
things cannot or will not get any
worse. Perhaps they think that
there will always be plenty of
time to comply with Our Ladys
request whenever it suits them?
Or yet again, perhaps they
realize how little time remains
to us, but they nevertheless
feel that for some reason it
is impossible to do what Our
Lady has asked. Do they sense
some overpowering threat
(against themselves, against

the Church, against mankind,

etc.), convincing them that
they have no choice but to wait
for a better time? I assure you
that they are badly and sadly
mistaken if they have placed
their trust in excuses such as
those, telling themselves that
there is nothing they can do.
None of these excuses will avail
before God when our time-limit
has run out.
It seems that from 1929
until the present, this has been
the sort of thinking that has
dominated within the Vatican.
Six out of the last seven Popes
have chosen to deny to Our Lady
Her request for the Consecration
of Russia. (Pope John Paul I
expressed his determination to
give Our Lady precisely what
She asked for, but he died after
only thirty-three days in office).
It is too early to say if
Pope Francis will follow the
imprudent example of his six
predecessors who thought
that they knew better than
the Virgin Most Prudent. But
nevertheless, it is certain that
he could use all the help we can
give him to fulfill Our Ladys
request. We should not be so
nave as to suppose that there
is no longer an array of highly
placed Masonic functionaries in
the Church who have betrayed
their vows to God and who work

for the devil. There are many of

these men (even bishops and
Cardinals!), and they are doing
everything in their power to
block the Consecration from
ever taking place because
they take their orders from
their Masonic masters who,
in turn, obey satan. The devil
knows quite well that when
the Consecration is finally
performed, the devils empire in
this world will have come to an
end.
Is there any example in the
history of the Church to which
we can compare our present
situation? Has there ever
been such grave neglect, such
debilitating inertia and lack of
vigor, such disregard for spiritual
danger, as is seen today on the
part of the present-day Vatican?
To what could we possibly
compare the ongoing lack of
zeal and pastoral concern, even
in the face of unparalleled crisis
in the Church and the world,
as has been demonstrated
by our shepherds of the past
ninety-six years?
The single example that
suggests itself is the Great
Western Schism. We should be
aware of some of the details of
that sad chapter in the history
of the Church in order to
recognize how its lessons apply
to our own time.

The Great Western Schism

In 1378, just a few months after
Pope Urban VI was elected, some
Cardinals were unhappy with
the new Popes policies. So they
pretended to themselves and to
the world that the papal election
had been invalidated by external
pressures. They claimed that
they had not been free in their
choice. Now, of course, this was
a lie. In fact, they had been so
free of political pressures within
the conclave that they had even
chosen a man who was not among
them at all. They chose as their
new Pope someone who was not
even in Rome, but in Bari. The
coercive influence he had brought
to bear upon this conclave was
obviously zero!
Nevertheless, in order to be rid
of the new Pope whose governance
they found not to their liking,
these certain Cardinals staged
another election six months
or so later. They elected a new
pope (really an anti-pope) who
set up a rival papal court in
Avignon, France.
This was a terrible scandal,
effectively undermining the unity
of the Church. Two men claimed
to be the head of the Universal
Church, and Catholics were
divided. Some followed Pope
Urban VI of Rome and others
supported anti-pope Clement

VII in Avignon. And things went

on this way for many years! At
the death of Pope Urban VI in
1389, Boniface IX was elected
as his successor. But similarly a
new anti-pope (Benedict XIII)
was elected in 1394 in Avignon
when the previous one had
passed away. And so things went,
on and on through the years. It
seemed that no one felt capable
of (or inclined to) straightening
out this situation, even though
kingdoms and cities and families
and religious orders were divided
over it. The Popes and Cardinals
seemed content to let things go
on in this manner indefinitely.
The clergy on both sides of this
division were ineffective in trying
(to the extent that they did try)
to repair and remove this scandal
affecting the entire Church.
After about thirty years, as
a compromise solution, both
colleges of Cardinals abandoned
support for their Pope/anti-pope,
and they elected a third man to
be the new pope in reality,
now a second anti-pope, since
neither of the other popes
had consented to resign! God
allowed this confusion and all of
the rivalries and hostilities that it
engendered as a punishment for
the sins of those days, and also as
a lesson for our own times. Just
as all of Scripture is given for our
instruction and edification, as St.

Paul reminds Timothy, so also has

the history of the Church been
given to us for the same reasons.
The lives of the Saints instruct
us on how to live in different
circumstances, and the lessons of
Church history show us what we
must do in similar circumstances.
What are the Lessons
For Today?
What lesson do we find for
ourselves in those unfortunate
years for the Church? Lets first
see what parallels exist between
our own time and the years of the
Great Western Schism.
We have to recognize first of all
that there certainly was a crisis
affecting the Church from 1378 to
1415, when so many people did
not know so much as who the real
Pope was. This compromised the
unity of families, cities, societies,
countries all of Christendom.
It was a disaster at every level of
society and the Church.
Second, the clergy were utterly
ineffective in what efforts they
made to resolve the problem.
Their neglect and weak measures
served only to perpetuate the
situation indefinitely.
Third, there was apparently no
one else capable of intervening to
repair the breach.
Similarly in our own time, the
Church is undeniably suffering a

if the Consecration of Russia is NOT done in time. Who else, and what else, will warn our
leaders in time? Who else will bring this ONE and ONLY SOLUTION to their attention?

to look beyond merely superficial
parameters and honestly assess
our situation, there is no question
that the Church is in fact dying
in Europe and North America.
And the situation is little better
in South America.
Our Lady of Fatima warned
against the suicide of the
Church that would follow from
altering the liturgy. I am worried
by the Blessed Virgins messages
to Lucy of Fatima, said Cardinal
Eugenio Pacelli, the future Pope
Pius XII. This persistence of
Mary about the dangers which
menace the Church is a divine
warning against the suicide of
altering the Faith, in her liturgy,
her theology and her soul (cited

in his biography, Pie XII Devant

LHistoire, pp. 52-53).
We see the effects of this suicide
all around us today Catholic
parishes closing by the hundreds.
Almost 80 in Buffalo, about 120 in
Milwaukee, over 140 in Detroit.
Lets be honest. Why are they
closing? Because the faithful no
longer believe or practice the
Faith in the way that previous
generations of Catholics did.
They are not going to Mass. What
created or occasioned this rift?
What has caused this rupture in
the handing down of the Faith to
the present generation, so that it
is no longer similarly expressed or
conscientiously practiced? What
was the effective cause of this
suicide of the Church?

Cardinal Pacelli tells us that

Our Lady of Fatima had explicitly
warned against the cause of this
rift. It came through altering the
liturgy to accommodate a new
theology. Its as plain as day even
without the explicit confirmation
of the Blessed Virgin, but we have
Our Lady of Fatimas warning as
well. And yet the vast majority of
Church leaders today continue to
cling to the new rite, the Novus
Ordo. They resist (sometimes
furiously) any movement toward
a return to the traditional liturgy
of the Church, as it has been
inspired to worship God for the
past 2000 years.
Lets compare this stubborn
failure of modern churchmen to
reverse their bad decision with
something that took place some
years ago in the business world.
The Coca-Cola Co. at one point
experimented with their product,
and for a short while changed
the flavor of its soft drink. They
gave it a new taste, thinking they
would add to its popularity. But
what happened? People took
no interest in the new product,
and the old product had been
taken away from them. They
stopped buying Coca-Cola. Coke
sales plummeted.So the CocaCola Co. faced a crisis not unlike
what modern churchmen have
faced during the past fifty years.
What did these businessmen

do about their problem? Did

they lobby for laws forbidding
any access to their old product?
Did they scheme about ways to
force their new product onto the
public? Did they cling tenaciously
to a failing program for the next
fifty years, considering it better to
drive the company out of business
rather than admit that they had
made a mistake? Did they start
selling off their bottling plants
and laying off all their workers
in order to accommodate their
company to the new products
sales? No! Of course not!
They reviewed their decision.
They went back to the old way of
making Coca-Cola. They admitted
their mistake and corrected
themselves, abandoning their
failed experiment. This was
the obvious course chosen by
intelligent men, for no more
serious motives than simply to
preserve their jobs and their
material wealth.
How is it that such a course
has not occurred to the leaders
of the Catholic Church during the
past fifty years? Can there be any
honest or well-founded reason
for the upper hierarchy to refuse,
for the most part, to admit their
error? After fifty years of ongoing
devastation, with such glaring
results, our leaders would still
rather pursue a course of selling
off thousands of churches, closing

parish after parish, all the while

mouthing nonsense about a new
springtime for the Church. Have
they convinced themselves that
those MILLIONS of abandoned
SOULS are not worth the trouble
of saving?
And on the part of these souls,
how can it be that the faithful
could remain asleep through such
a storm? Will they, with closed
eyes, follow their blind leaders
until they have all fallen into the
pit of hell?
The Popes Lament
Both Pope John Paul II and
Benedict XVI lamented the
silent apostasy that progressed
throughout their watches, but
they were apparently unwilling
or unable to try to halt it. Or
perhaps they were blind to its
causes, and simply did not know
how to address it.
And yet so many voices have
shown the way credible
and authoritative voices of
theologians, bishops, priests,
and laymen as well identifying
modern errors and pointing
out the way to a solution of our
difficulties. Even the Mother
of God has given Her explicit
guidance from Heaven on the
matter. Our Church leaders have
had in their very hands all along
Our Lady of Fatimas explicit
warnings in the Third Secret

warnings, we can be sure, against

an evil council that would do
great harm to the faithful;
warnings against adulterating
the traditional Liturgy; warnings
against this suicide of the Church.
This disaster will continue to
progress in the Church and in
the world so long as our Church
leaders refuse to obey Our Ladys
specific requests in the whole
Message of Fatima. But even at the
present time, too many bishops
continue to ignore Our Lady,
preferring their own ignorance
and blindness to the light of truth.
So What Can Be Done NOW?
Let us look at history. What
happened to stop the madness
from 1378 to 1415? What
changed, and who changed it?
One person said: I will not
accept the status quo. I do not
accept that nothing can be done.
I will speak up. I will insist. I will
make my views known. Even
though I am not a priest, not a
bishop, not a Pope, I will act. I will
be decisive, and I will not rest.
And act he did. History serves
as his witness today of the results
he achieved.
Who was he? He was the Holy
Roman Emperor. He moved his
people and his officers to demand
right-order in the Church. He sent
delegations to both Popes to the

Cardinals, to the bishops and

officials of both Popes and he
got them both to agree to resign.
Then he got the bishops and
Cardinals of both sides to attend
a Council at Constance and to
elect one man a new Pope that
all would agree upon.
Similarly, we must do what
we can now to reach persons of
influence before it is too late for
all of us in the Church and society.
Do Not Accept
The Present Status
The emperor did not accept the
status quo. Nor should we. All of
us know someone who has clout
in the temporal order of affairs.
We need to reach them, who
in turn need to reach the Pope
and his counselors, to tell them
to wake up and to make Our
Lady of Fatimas request for the
Consecration of Russia their first
priority. They need to use their
political influence to insist on this
until we get results.
This brings us to the point of
discussing our reasons behind
this years unique Conference in
Niagara Falls. This year because
time is running out.
We have invited a panel of
expert speakers in various fields,
including medicine, finance,
economics, government, military
affairs, even rescuing the lives of

the unborn. We have asked these

men and women to tell us what
problems they see facing all of
us. Their expert, non-partisan
appraisal of the worlds situation
will be a powerful and credible
testimony to our leaders, both in
the Church and in civil society.
It will be a chorus of voices that
cannot be ignored: There is
crisis everywhere!
During the past thirty years,
mankind has sent more than a
billion that is 1,000,000,000
helpless children to cruel and
unnecessary deaths. They were
MURDERED, and this ocean of
innocent blood all around us is
crying to Heaven for vengeance.
But there are so many non-clinical
ways of procuring abortions that
even the mind-boggling statistics
are surely dwarfed by the real
number of abortions taking
place, which can hardly even be
estimated. And the envelope of
medical murders is so much
larger than just the abortion
holocaust. It is established
medical practice now to kill
living people for the purpose of
harvesting their organs, and to
terminate the lives of the elderly
and unfit by depriving them of
basic sustenance. These are
all murders.
Some Third World nations own
poor are being made even more
poor to the point of starving

by ruinous financial policies

of First World nations, aimed
not at promoting the common
good but instead at the further
accumulation of wealth for the
already super-rich. Godless
legislatures are promoting and
legalizing unnatural sins such as
contraception and homosexuality,
and persecuting those who speak
out against these perversions of
Gods law for the procreation of
the human race.
Out of the thousands of different
kinds of sin in the world, there are
only four that are so grievous as
to be described by God as crying
to Heaven for vengeance (that
is, calling down from God an
almost immediate punishment
in this world, as well as the even
more severe punishment that
awaits such acts in hell). Of those
four horrible sins, I have just
mentioned three: willful murder,
the sin of Sodom, and defrauding
the laborer of his wages. These
crimes have been institutionalized
in Western society in Canada,
the United States, and Western
Europe, as well as in many other
regions of the world. Almost
everywhere in the world, we
see these abominations being
practiced, promoted, and even
formally justified.
As Pope John Paul II said
at Fatima in 1982, sin has
institutionalized itself. And

obviously, our societies are much

worse in this regard today than
they were in 1982, so much so
that people now fear even to
speak against such abominations
lest they be prosecuted for a
hate crime.
Are we really powerless in the
face of these horrible disorders?
No, we can turn to Our Lady. She
has offered and even promised
Her help if we will only apply
for it in the way that God has
demanded. It is to be in such a
way that there is no question of
how such a blessing was merited
for the world. This will be a victory
of Our Ladys Immaculate Heart,
and of none other. Only She can
help us.
There Is a Major Crisis
and Only One Solution
In brief, human society is
threatened at every level today.
Families and nations alike are
falling to the assaults of the
devil, whose servants in this
world are on the verge of claiming
the entire globe beneath their
godless dominion.
We know that the only solution
to our difficulty lies in moving the
Pope directly (or in moving the
Vatican counselors of the Pope)
to order all the bishops of the
world to join him in consecrating
Russia to the Immaculate Heart
of Mary. We also know that the

Vatican is sensitive to credible

public information the Vatican is
more sensitive to its public image
today than it has ever been. It will
respond to a high-level public
outcry for action.
For many years now, we have
been inviting the press and
academia to our conferences,
and their witness to our cause has
brought substantial gains to Our
Ladys interests. It is time now to
engage the elected officials and
legislators of the West, and urge
them to demand action from the
Vatican. We must bring them to
this event, where they can learn
what is the real and only solution
to our problems. We must show
them what they can do to bring
that solution to bear on our
problems before it is too late.
By ourselves we are powerless
against the plots of our
enemies, but Our Lady has
given us a solution the only
possible solution and we must
embrace it.
Elements of Our Lady of
Fatimas prophecies are unfolding
before our eyes now in such major
ways, we cannot assure ourselves
of having any more time in which
to safely neglect the salvation
offered to us. The Consecration of
Russia is the definitive answer to
our problems, and no one else has
any effective answer whatsoever.

We must engage high-profile

civil leaders to demand that our
Church leaders at least try what
Heaven has asked of them.
This is why we have so many
speakers and such a variety
of topics scheduled for our
Conference this September. And
this is why it is so important that
this Conference be a success. This
is why we are inviting statesmen
and politicians and other people
of influence from around the
world, and this is why you
must come.
Please, you must support us
now. We have struggled, we
have tried to reach out, and
we have risked so much on
this Conference. We must try
this, rather than to simply let
everything be lost for all of us
in this world. Anyway, it is up to
you now. Please come to Niagara
Falls this September, and let the
voice of the sheer numbers of
those present speak to the media
and to our legislators until even
the Vatican has no choice but to
take notice and respond.

Ladys hands, and we depend on

Begun?
Our researchers have uncovered various recent facts about the tremendous
dangers in the Middle East which could draw the whole world into World War III.

Political and military tensions of

varying degrees, if not outright
warfare, have been part of the
backdrop of life throughout all
these years for everyone in the
world. Communist expansion (by
whatever name) has claimed one
country after another, subjecting
its unfortunate victims to the
murderous horrors of a demonic
totalitarianism, while the everpresent threat of mutual assured
destruction has been a familiar
fixture of life for all of us.
The history of the past halfcentury is a tragic catalogue
of nearly 1000 bloody armed
conflicts Korea, Vietnam, East
Timor, Kuwait, Somalia, Bosnia,
Kosovo, Afghanistan, and Iraq,
to name only a few. And at the

Not Enough

Blessed Virgins words: Only She
can help us. No merely human
strategies or initiatives have any
chance of doing what Our Lady
has told us is impossible in the
Providence of God.
The horrible evils of these past
decades should take our minds

told the three children on July 13,
1917. World War I was about to
end, as She explained, but God
was going to punish the world
yet again for its crimes by means
of war, famine, and persecutions
of the Church and of the
Holy Father.
In other words, the cause of all
these horrors and suffering not
only that of World War II, but also
of its shifting, bloody aftermath
even to this day is sin. The
horrible evils of war are permitted
by Heaven as a punishment for
sin. Our Lord Himself revealed
to a mystic priest, Pre Lamy,

that the true underlying causes

of World War I were blasphemies,
the desecration of marriage, and
working on Sundays. Our Lady of
Fatima has made it no less clear
that the subsequent scourges
which have overtaken the world
are likewise a punishment from
Heaven and could have been
avoided if men had ceased
offending God.
We also see from Our Ladys
words that the remedy for all
the wars presently raging in
the world, and even for those
worse situations that threaten
to develop, is reparation and
devotion to the Immaculate
Heart of Mary. After describing
the punishments which the world
deserves and which God would
soon inflict upon us, Our Lady
went on:
To prevent this, I shall come
to ask for the Consecration
of Russia to My Immaculate
Heart, and the Communion
of Reparation on the First
Saturdays. If My requests are
heeded, Russia will be converted,
and there will be peace; if not, she
will spread her errors throughout
the world, causing wars and
persecutions of the Church.
The good will be martyred, the
Holy Father will have much to
suffer, various nations will be
annihilated.

Fatimas Message More Relevant

Than Ever!
It is at last becoming clear to
many that this cycle of endless
warfare, to which much of the
world has grown accustomed,
cannot go on indefinitely. In fact,
as more and more people have
begun to understand, we are
drawing very close to the horrible
conclusion of all this folly of the
past 60 years, along the very lines
of Our Ladys warning.
Almost 100 years after She
predicted that: various nations
will be annihilated, we no longer
have any trouble envisioning the
fulfillment of Her dire words.
Worse, the major powers of the
world are aligning themselves
over the growing tensions in
the Middle East in a way that
could precipitate a Third World

War at any moment. Thus the

world is poised now to witness
the final act of this drama, in
which Communist and Western
Masonic powers achieve their
stated purpose of subjugating
the entire globe and eliminating
from it (if it were possible) every
vestige of Christianity.
What Is Happening
In the Middle East?
What is the situation in the
Middle East? Hostilities in Syria
(which have already produced
at least 1.5 million refugees and
80,000 dead) are threatening to
escalate to a global scale. Warring
Muslim factions in Syria have
brought opposing world-powers
face to face, each showing an ever
greater willingness to intervene
so as to ensure a final advantage
to its own interests in the outcome

of the struggle.
The Syrian government is an
Alawite Shia regime, which has
been headed by President Bashar
al-Assad since 1971. This ruling
elite Alawite sect is a 1000-yearold offshoot of the Shiite Muslim
faction, holding out in Syria now
against a majority Sunni Muslim
population, and threatened by the
same fate that has befallen Syrias
border states Lebanon and Iraq
(both of which were torn apart
in recent decades by their own
civil wars).
Demonstrations against
President Assad, beginning on
March 15, 2011 (part of the wider
Middle-East protest movement
known in the U.S.A. as the Arab
Spring), developed within a
few months into a nationwide
armed uprising of the Sunni
Muslim Brotherhood seeking to
overthrow the Alawite regime.
Late in 2012, the Hezbollah (a
Shiite military group and political
party based in Lebanon) joined
forces with the Syrian army in
defense of the Assad regime,
which is also supported by Russia
and Iran, while the insurgents
have been aided with weapons
from Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and
with asylum from Turkey.
Beyond the staggering numbers
of dead (half of whom have
been civilians) and refugees, an

estimated 4 million Syrians have

been displaced within the wartorn country.
Russia, Israel and the U.S.A.
Russias strategic interests are
based on the fact that Iran and
Assads Syria are Russias last
remaining powerful allies in the
region. Moreover, the Russian
navy depends heavily upon
access to the Mediterranean at
Syrian ports.
Israel, on the other hand, as
well as Jordan, France, Germany,
the United Kingdom, and the
United States, seem to be acting
on contrary interests, possibly
viewing the elimination of the
Assad regime as paving the way
for a regime change in Iran and
for the ultimate reshaping of the
region under the domination
of Western countries in concert
with Israel.
This would explain why the
Western countries and Israel
offer their behind the scenes
support for what is largely an Al
Qaeda-saturated insurgency of
foreign mercenaries pretending
to be freedom-fighters.
U.S.A. and Russia
Supplying Arms
The United States involvement
to date has ostensibly been
restricted to participating in peace
negotiations and providing food

and medical aid to the insurgents.

Senator John McCain, however,
(who made a recent visit to Syria)
has spoken in favor of providing
arms as well, and Senator Lindsey
Graham outspokenly favors a
direct involvement of the U.S.
military.
It is widely believed, though,
that the Obama administration
has already been covertly
supplying arms to the insurgents.
Syrias delegation to the March
2013 UN conference on the global
Arms Trade Treaty complained
of a torrent of illegal weapons
entering that nation, and accused
Western powers and their
intelligence agencies of arming
mercenaries endeavoring to
overthrow Syrias government,
while deceiving the world with
claims that Assads army was
attacking Syrian citizens.
Putins Russia has a long history
of supplying Assad with the
weapons he has needed to fight his
wars and to suppress rebellions,
and in the present conflict Russia
has furnished attack helicopters
to the Syrian army from the
beginning. Continued supply of
the unstoppable Iskandar missiles
and the sophisticated S-300
air defense system, capable of
simultaneously targeting up to
100 aircraft or cruise or ballistic
missiles, is a larger issue.

Sarin Gas
Another game changer
(according to President Obama)
that would call forth enormous
consequences from Washington
against Syrias government would
be that armys use of chemical
weapons against the insurgents
a red line, Obama declared,
which Assad must not dare to
cross. Shortly after this statement
was made, an apparently
fabricated report of the Syrian
army employing poison gas
occasioned an outcry that Obama
make good on his threat to engage
the U.S. military.
The report was backed by two
Israeli Cabinet members who
claimed that they had credible
evidence of Syrias use of sarin
gas, and the White House soberly
reported to Congress: Our
intelligence community does
assess, with varying degrees of
confidence, that the Syrian regime
has used chemical weapons on a
small scale in Syria, specifically,
the chemical agent sarin. Russia,
however, was quick to challenge
this report.
A United Nations commission
found no evidence that the
Syrian army had used chemical
weapons. But according to
commission member Carla Del
Ponte, Our investigators have
been in neighboring countries

interviewing victims, doctors,

and field hospitals .... [T]here
are strong, concrete suspicions
but not yet incontrovertible proof
of the use of sarin gas, from the
way the victims were treated. This
was use[d] on the part of the
opposition, the rebels.
How narrowly we escaped an
escalation of events through that
ruse is an unsettling thought.
Israels Part In the Conflict
Though polls indicate little
popular American support for
U.S. involvement in another
Middle East war, the fear that
current U.S. foreign policy will
lead inexorably to an invasion
of Syria and Iran seems
well-founded. In the words of J.
William Fulbright, speaking as
chairman of the Foreign Relations
Committee in 1973, Israel
controls the Senate. We should be
more concerned about the United
States interests.
Unfortunately, the same
U.S. Senate Foreign Relations
Committee in mid-April 2013
approved a measure crafted by
the notorious Israeli lobby AIPAC
(the American Israel Public
Affairs Committee), volunteering
U.S. military support to Israel
if the latter is compelled to
take action against Iran. Known
as Senate Joint Resolution 65
(SR65), this measure declares

U.S. policy now to be not just the

prevention of Iran from attaining
nuclear weapons, but even to
prevent Iran from acquiring a
nuclear weapons capability.
But since Iran already possesses
such capability (but would need
at least a year to make it a reality)
and although Iran does not have
any nuclear weapons program, as
all 16 U.S. intelligence agencies
confirm, nevertheless critics
fear that this measure amounts
to nothing short of both a
preemptive declaration of war
authorizing Washington to attack
Iran at any moment, as well as a
blank check to Israel authorizing
it to do the same.
Alongside SR 65 is House
Resolution 850 which calls for
enhanced sanctions against Iran
to intensify the crushing effect
of prior trade sanctions. It is
feared that the impact of these
new sanctions (particularly
on innocent Iranian families,
already crippled by shortages
and exorbitant prices) will so
enrage and humiliate Iran as to
ensure that nuclear negotiations
break down. Military hostilities
would then immediately ensue,
since alternative measures have
now been ruled out. The Western
policy of containment and
deterrence has been abandoned
with the adoption of SR 65, and
the authorization for air strikes

and invasion [should Iran fail to

comply with every demand of
Israel (even though Israel itself
has nuclear bombs) in nuclear
negotiations] already stands in
place.
Major War
About To Break Out
In the meantime, the situation
in Syria has grown steadily more
grave. Syria News reported the
sinking of an Israeli submarine
in Syrian waters (a state-of-theart German-made craft) by the
Syrian navy at about 2:30 a.m.
on May 2. (A German supportvessel thought to be working
in association with the Israeli
submarine was also intercepted
and made to evacuate the Syrian
territorial waters.) An Israeli
reprisal bombing of Syrian
munitions and food supplies
followed on May 5 (exhibiting
bunker-buster capabilities
thought to be beyond Israeli
means). This has prompted
disturbing questions about the
possibilities not only of vital U.S.
security breaches, but also of a
tactical nuclear weapon having
been used by Israel against Syria.
(The military and foreign
affairs journal Veterans Today
[based in the U.S.A.] has posted
on its website, the video footage
of this explosion in which analysts
note the signature mushroom

This attack of May 5 with an
apparent explosion of a nuclear
device was answered, in turn, by
Vladimir Putins declaration that
Russia would renew provisions of
S-300 missiles to Syria. Russias
Pacific fleet, moreover, has moved
into supportive positions within
the Mediterranean Sea, while
thousands of Russian troops have
been deployed on a heightened

can enter the Syrian war zone
within hours. These troops
are said to be fully prepared to
expand to Large-Scale War status

Zone in anticipation of a widening
of the conflict.
