Terms
Appetite

a physical desire for food.

Bake

to make (food, such as bread and


cake) by preparing a dough,
batter, etc., and cooking it in an oven using dry heat.
Batter

a mixture consisting chiefly of flour, egg, and milk or


water and being thin enough to pour or drop from a
spoon.

Dough

any mixture of flour, liquid, and other ingredients that is


thick enough to hold its shape when rolled out.

Finger food

is food meant to be eaten directly using the hands, in


contrast to food eaten with a knife and fork, chopsticks, or
other utensils.

Garnish

to put something on (food) as a decoration; also: to be
