IwouldliketounderstandthesignificanceofValuationStringinaccountdetermination.

Itisattachedtothemovementtypebutwhatistheexactutility.Imeanwecouldhaveattacheddirectly
movementtypetothetransactioneventkeybutwhydoweneedvaluationstring?

ValuestringkeysareforSAPinternalusage.Itisjustapointertothetransactioneventkeywhichis
necessaryforautomaticaccountdetermination.

MovementtypesarelinkedtotransactionkeysviavaluationstringinOMWNTcode.TheR/3System
automaticallydeterminesthevaluestringassignedtoaspecifictransaction.

Itdependspartlyonenteredparametersmanuallyandpartlyonparametersderivedinternallybythe
system.
Thevaluestringcontainsallpostingtransactionsthatarepossibleforacertaintransaction.

TheprogramdecideswhichofthesepostingtransactionsleadtoG/Laccountpostingsinindividual
cases.

YoucannotdefinethisinCustomizing.
ValuestringWE01,forthegoodsreceiptforapurchaseorderintostock,containstransactionsBSX

returndeliveries)forStandardandSubcontractingpurchaseorderitemswithoutaccountassignment

Inthecaseof(valuated)goodsreceiptsforpurchaseorderitemsnotsubjecttoaccountassignment,
posttheitemstoastockaccountusingthetransactionkeyBSXandmakeanoffsettingentrytoa
GR/IRclearingaccount.
Apricedifferenceposting(transactionkeyPRD)isonlyusedifthevaluatedmaterialissubjectto
standardpricecontrolandiftheorderprice(orinvoiceprice)isdifferentfromthestandardprice.
TransactionkeyKDMisrequiredinInventoryManagementforpurchaseordersinforeigncurrencies
becauseofdifferencesinexchangeratesbetweengoodsreceiptsandinvoicereceipts,unlessthe
materialcannotbedebitedorcreditedbecauseitissubjecttostandardpricecontrol.
ThetransactionkeysEINandEKG(andpossiblyFREseeaccountdeterminationfordeliverycosts)
areonlyusedincompanycodeswherepurchaseaccountmanagementisactive(asrequiredin
FranceandBelgiumforexample).

ThetransactionkeysBSV,FRL,andFRNareonlyusedfortheSubcontractingitemcategory.Value
stringWA14isdefinedfordeliverieswithoutcharge(movementtype511).

Inthestandardsystem,valuestringWA01isassignedtogoodsissuesandothergoodsreceipts.The
R/3Systemusesanadditionalinfluencingfactor,accountgrouping,todifferentiatefurtherbetween
thevariousmovementsduringaccountdetermination.

atcompanycodelevelchartoffaccountswillbeassigned,atvaluationarealevelvaluationgrouping
codehastoassign

ForthematerialifQtyandvalueupdationisactivatedatthetimeonlysystemgotofindthevalue
