Spring is kind of a metaphor for me or you might say like looking through a
picture window of what has transpired since Christmas. The picture that I see is
soiled, dirty and messy for I have been walking on snowy and slippery ice and not
sure of my steps. I have been driving but keep bouncing off the curbs and trying to
get out of the ruts that I am stuck in and cant seem to get out. I have laid some salt
and gravel in my life to try and compensate for my sinfulness, yet in my feeble
attempts I have not been able to feel that I am making any progress. Glory and praise
to you, Lord Jesus Christ for coming to die for my sins, taking my place on the cross
and for saving my life in your resurrection. Through Baptism I am a new creation in
Christ and this has become my strength, turning my life over to Christ and being
born again in the Easter joy of redemption which he has offered to me as an adopted
son.
Can you identify with this picture which I have drawn and see yourselves in this
picture? If you have there is salvation for all of us in the Blood of the Lamb which
has the power to wash us clean a new and save our souls.

FAITHFUL FRIARS MESSAGE:
Brother Knights:
Pope Francis has named this year as the "Year of the Mercy of God" Who do
we need to forgive? Is there someone in the family with whom we have not
spoken? Is there someone at work who has wronged us? A spouse who has
betrayed us? Is there a child who has rebelled? Can we forgive as generously
as God forgives us? Is there anything more God-like than forgiveness?
Jesus' ministry was often about forgiveness - eating with sinners, forgiving
sins publicly, gently preaching about his Father's unbounded mercy? In the
ultimate act of forgiveness, obedient to his Father, Jesus gave his life for the
forgiveness of our sins.
Christ suffered, carried His cross and died on it to win for us salvation. We
celebrate this awesome event every year at Easter - Christ dying and rising
from the dead, so we might be forgiven of our sins.
May each of us be reconciled and forgiven our sins in the Sacrament of
Reconciliation and, in return, extend our forgiveness to others. This will truly
mean a Happy and Holy Easter, which I wish all of you along with the peace
which a merciful and loving God grants.
God bless you all,
Monsignor R. Senger

An exemplification is scheduled for Saturday the 28th of May at St Georges Church at 210 Avenue M south

The passion of Jesus is a sea of sorrows, but it is also an ocean of love. Ask the Lord to teach you to
fish in this ocean. Dive into its depths. No matter how deep you go, you will never reach the bottom.

ROSTER UPDATE:
S/K Raymond Gaureau;

Page 3 MARCH 2016 Newsletter DArcy McGee Assembly - S/K Adrien Piche

I just returned from attending the Spiritual Enrichment Weekend in Moose Jaw. This years theme was The
Spiritual Leadership Role of Dads and Granddads in the Life of the Family, Church and Society. I never
stopped to think about this in my personal life so this weekend sure was an eye opener for me. I know that I
heard about things I did right but also many things I certainly could have done better with my children and
grandchildren. It is too bad that there is not a course given to us on how to better raise our children and
how to interact with them many times. I did some right and I did some wrong but I did my best at that
time. It is never to late to start, to show love and to bless our family members, in particular our children
and grandchildren. Yes, I am so glad that I attended the weekend. Although we may not like change, we
are never too old to adjust and try something new.
I want to remind everyone of the upcoming exemplification in Saskatoon on May 28th. Everyone should be
working at recruiting Brother Knights into the fourth degree. Our Supreme Masters wish is that all Brother
Knights become a fourth degree knight. There is no longer a waiting period between becoming a 3rd degree
knight and a fourth degree knight. It is an honour and privilege to be a Sir Knight and it is also an honour to
be asked to join the ranks of the fourth degree. Have you asked someone to join the fourth degree? If the
answer is no, then why not? Tell your prospect why you joined and what you got out of it through the years.
Do you partake in the fourth degree events and meetings? Again, I ask, why not? Lets go and increase our
membership. Lets get active!
Marjorie and I wish you and family a fruitful Lenten journey and a most Blessed Easter.
God Bless,
Master Ray Gehlen

St. Augustine said that the Easter Vigil the night when Jesus Christ was raised from the dead is to be
considered the mother of all vigils. During this night the people of God keep watch as they await the
resurrection of the Lord and celebrate it in the sacraments of initiation.
