FAITHFUL NAVIGATORS MESSAGE:
Worthy Sir Knights:
We are well into the activities of the year and have a number of more events scheduled for this calendar
year so please remember to keep the events and dates in mind.
Our next supper social will be on Tuesday the 19th of April at St Pauls at 720 Spadina Crescent and will
commence at 7:00pm. This is our annual ladies appreciation supper. If planning to attend you should
receive a call but if you do not, please inform me if you are coming at 382 8745.
In May we are having our clergy appreciation barbeque similar to last year at Columbia Manor and if
attending must let me know. This is being held on Monday the 2nd of May.
Our May meeting and election night will be on Tuesday the 17th of May.
An exemplification is scheduled for Saturday the 28th of May at St Georges Church at 210 Avenue M south
starting at 2:00pm with registration at 1:00pm. I urge you to attend to show the support to our new
members going through the 4th degree. This is important to these new candidates.
On Saturday the 16th of April the masters meeting will be held at Humboldt and anyone is invited but let
me know if you plan to attend.
I wish at this time to extend Easter greetings to you and your families on behalf of my wife Karen and
myself.
Vivat Jesus
Stephan Reagan; Faithful Navigator.

The passion of Jesus is a sea of sorrows, but it is also an ocean of love. Ask the Lord to teach you to
fish in this ocean. Dive into its depths. No matter how deep you go, you will never reach the bottom.

I just returned from attending the Spiritual Enrichment Weekend in Moose Jaw. This years theme was The
Spiritual Leadership Role of Dads and Granddads in the Life of the Family, Church and Society. I never
stopped to think about this in my personal life so this weekend sure was an eye opener for me. I know that I
heard about things I did right but also many things I certainly could have done better with my children and
grandchildren. It is too bad that there is not a course given to us on how to better raise our children and
how to interact with them many times. I did some right and I did some wrong but I did my best at that
time. It is never to late to start, to show love and to bless our family members, in particular our children
and grandchildren. Yes, I am so glad that I attended the weekend. Although we may not like change, we
are never too old to adjust and try something new.
I want to remind everyone of the upcoming exemplification in Saskatoon on May 28th. Everyone should be
working at recruiting Brother Knights into the fourth degree. Our Supreme Masters wish is that all Brother
Knights become a fourth degree knight. There is no longer a waiting period between becoming a 3rd degree
knight and a fourth degree knight. It is an honour and privilege to be a Sir Knight and it is also an honour to
be asked to join the ranks of the fourth degree. Have you asked someone to join the fourth degree? If the
answer is no, then why not? Tell your prospect why you joined and what you got out of it through the years.
Do you partake in the fourth degree events and meetings? Again, I ask, why not? Lets go and increase our
membership. Lets get active!
Marjorie and I wish you and family a fruitful Lenten journey and a most Blessed Easter.
God Bless,
Master Ray Gehlen

St. Augustine said that the Easter Vigil the night when Jesus Christ was raised from the dead is to be
considered the mother of all vigils. During this night the people of God keep watch as they await the
resurrection of the Lord and celebrate it in the sacraments of initiation.
