Brief History
The beginning of the nineties heralded a new historical stage in

RESTORATION
The National Opera
of Bucharest
The National Opera of Bucharest, situated in 70 M. Kogalniceanu St., was
registered in the List of Bucharests Historical Monuments/1992
This monumental building performs an important function for the Romanian
and international cultural life and is an icon of Bucharest and of the '50s and
'60s architecture.
The works performed by S.C. ROMCONSTRUCT HOLDING GRUP S.A. are mainly
made up of repairs, reconstructions, rehabilitations, nishing and decoration
restorations, both internal and external, but also of construction and installation
repairs. The works on most of the nishings and decorations were particularly
intricate due to the great density of detail and the range of materials.
The works performed by specic techniques were realized under special
conditions for certain areas and mostly by specialized personnel.
On this project, ROMCONSTRUCT Group of Companies also provided the
specialized technical design.
S.C. ROMCONSTRUCT HOLDING GRUP S.A. currently performs works on
the heating unit, heating and ventilation systems, as well as works of the

The museum is organized in one of the most
representative buildings for the ecclectic
architecture of the end of the 19th century.
The building ensemble is placed in a high
historical value area.
The events that marked the life of this building,
redistribution of the spaces destinations,
functional changes, advanced wear, constructive
elements and installations wear, that led to
the decline in the buildings resistance and
stability, but also to important deteriorations
of its compartments, nishing , carpentry and
installations.
The critical stage of The National History
Museum imposed an urgent process of repair
works.

The sanitation, repairs and ambiental works for the

Lapidarium building, situated within the premises of
the National History Museum, consisted in repairs,
reconditioning and interior paint and plaster jobs, repairs
and reconditioning of marble and sandstone oors,
modernizing the plumbing and heating systems and
also modernizing the electrical systems and low current
electrical wiring.

Consolidation, restoration and rehabilitation of the Culture Palace in Cmpulung-Muscel

This building, erected in 1907 to serve as the Mayors Oce, has a great historical, architectural and
urban value for the town of Cmpulung, being registered in the List of Historical Monuments.
In its lifetime, the building has encountered changes in its destination and functions, and it is now
due to serve as Culture Palace and town library.
The physical state of the building needed urgent consolidation and restoration works in order for it
to be used in optimal safety and functionality, maintaining its architectural assets and value.
As the general contractor for this project, S.C. ROMCONSTRUCT HOLDING S.A. organizes and
performs the operations stated in the specialized projects, all works being nalized using the
appropriate materials and procedures for historical building restorations.

The National School Camps and Touring Agency

The headquarters of The National School Camps and Touring Agency Lahovari
Plaza 26th Eremia Grigorescu St. - registered in the Bucharest Historical
Monuments list/1992.
This building, erected at the beginning of the 20th century, in a valuable and interesting
architectural style, made of various materials and with a high density of details and
decorations, had been in an advanced state of decay after a series of incorrect maintenance
operations. The building needed repairs, restorations of the nishing and decorations, both
on the inside and on the outside. S.C. ROMCONSTRUCT HOLDING S.A., using the latest
generation materials and techniques along with highly qualied professionals, performed
operations that restored the value of the objective.

This building, erected at the end of the
19th century and placed in the historical
center of the city is an icon of Cluj Napoca.
The poor physical state of the buildings
structure, the physical and moral decay of the
buildings equipments, the disfunctionalities
and the underdevelopment of some spaces
determined the need for major repair works,
along with functional redistributions and high
tech reequipping of the Romanian Opera and
Theatre Building in Cluj.

At the Dimitrie Gusti National Village Museum in
Bucharest S.C. ROMCONSTRUCT HOLDING S.A. has
performed: interior plaster works, sandstone, granite,
marble, stone, linoleum and carpet oors, Armstrong type
false ceilings, wood reconstruction works, marble and
granite plating, curtain wall, exterior wooden and plaster
decorative proles, copper plate roofs, Vratza stone and
Ruchita marble, exterior oak wall carving, electrical,
plumbing and heating unit for both the interior and
exterior, water pump, heating central, thermo-ventilation
and air-conditioning unit with ventilation convectors and
chillers, area vertical systematization, green areas design
and execution.

The core from which the ensembles architectural conception developed, and that inuenced the
general distribution of the spaces and the detail handling was wing B, the initial building, with
valuable architectural elements.
The operations on the wing required restorations, reconstructions of details and reassessments
of architectural elements; they have been made with specic materials and techniques and with
highly qualied sta.
For these remarkable project S.C. ROMCONSTRUCT HOLDING GRUP S.A. was awarded a
medal by the Ministry of Culture and Cults.

Raieisen Bank Alba Iulia headquarters multiple-oor building.
Exterior enclosing with curtain walls and Alucobond
plating were performed. The interior spaces for
bank activities were performed with high quality
nishing - granite plating and pendent ceiling with
a special illuminating system. Arrangements for cash
oces were executed according to banking security
standards. The technical departments were equipped
with heating units, power generator, garages.

Mntuleasa - oce buildings

Consolidation works, oce space design, enclosing the terrace and
restoring the building's enclosure.
The physical state of the building from 14th Mntuleasa Street, erected at
the beginning of the 20th century, situated in a valuable historical area of
Bucharest, required general interventions for rehabilitating and restoring to
working conditions.
The technical documentation asserted that the building needed consolidation
and functional modications, remaking and restoring the details, nishing and
decoration operations, modernization of the installations.
The operations were performed with superior quality materials and by highly
qualied sta, accomplishing an exceptional architectural and functional work.

The success of the concrete - assessed as a universal construction material - determined us to

100 cubic meters/hour productivity, manufactures: concrete (C2,8C25/30), mortars, screeds.
The concrete is transported with MAN trucks having 9 cubic meters Liebherr superstructure.

S.C. ROMVIAL S.A., S.C. TITAN AL S.A. and S.C. ORIZONT S.A. are founded in 1991,
by reorganization the former I.C.R.A.L. structures and they had as their main
eld of activity providing services of management, maintenance and sales for
buildings.
After the privatization of the companies as a result of ROMCONSTRUCT Groups
acquisition from A.P.A.P.S. of the majority of the stocks, all these tree companies
improved their services to the general public.
These positive results are based on the implementation of a new management
system.
The personnel are made up of people that are highly experienced in the
administration eld, as well as people of high moral standing. They are able to
solve all demands coming from the state's institutions and from the citizens.
The companys economic policy is to allocate its prots with a view to invest in
targets that are bound to bring benets in the long run.
