HEART CHOICES I received something very special in the mail the other day. It was a college
602 W 6th graduation announcement. Not so unusual, of course, as it is that time of year,
Beloit, KS 67420 but receiving this one particularly made me smile. It was from a former client.
785-738-3433 I met this young lady just over four years ago, when she came to Heart
Toll Free 1-800-585-3433 Choices. A senior in high school, she found herself
www.heartbeatpregnancycenter.com pregnant and looking for help in determining the best
choice for herself and for her unborn child. Knowing she
was not in the best position to parent a child at that time
in her life, she bravely and lovingly made an adoption
Staff plan for her son. Now her child is part of a loving,
Alice Thompson ~ Director forever family, and she is about to become a teacher,
soon to be married, and fulfilling the dreams she had envisioned for her life.
Lila Sherlock ~ Receptionist
This decision was by no means an easy one. According to her, “By placing my
Tracy Anderes ~ Mentor
child for adoption I felt that I was providing it with the life I wouldn’t be able to
provide. While this was the hardest decision of my life, this truly was a decision
of love. I feel that I truly had my baby’s best interests at heart. I wanted my
child to grow up with a loving mom and dad just as I had.“
Board of Directors
She went on to say that Heart Choices offered her support and help in her
Barry Munsey ~ President decision in a time when she felt alone and afraid. Thinking her future was
ruined by a bad choice in high school, she found hope through God’s
Craig Gengler forgiveness and could look toward a bright future for herself and her child.
Dan Daniels I must admit I’m feeling very proud of this young lady and so many others who
have turned a bad choice (or a whole string of bad choices) into good by
Brenda Crawford
listening to their hearts. I also recognize that it’s only because of our loving,
Debi Treaster giving community that Heart Choices is able to exist for these young ladies. I
pray God’s blessings on the many graduates as they embark on new journeys
Kris Kimple
and new beginnings, as well as on those who support Heart Choices through
Jerry Buser their time and resources.

I want to thank those who attended and contributed toward the Spring Banquet
on March 26. What a blessing it was to share the evening with 117 guests and
Margaret Montgomery share what God is doing through the Center. Over $18,000 in cash and pledges
were given.
