March Newsletter
March is here and the Year End shows are coming up fast! Please make sure you are
bringing your children to all of their classes so that they are learning and practicing their
dance that they will be doing for the performance. We are so excited for you to see
everything they have learned! Please make sure that you are sending your kids to class
with both their pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes. It is very important to have the
correct shoes on while they are learning. Thank you for bringing your kids to Gravity!
We love teaching your kids and sharing our love of dance with them. As always, please
contact us if you have any questions at 801-512-2468 or
[email protected].
We are excited to announce that Denise Haslam has been promoted to Director over
non-competition classes. Denise has 25+ years of experience working with youth in
dance and is an amazing teacher. She brings a lot of knowledge and professionalism to
Gravity Dance Center and is an amazing example to all our kids. We are so lucky to
have her and are very excited about this new adventure. Congrats Denise!

childs teacher, or our non-competition director, Denise, and they would be happy to
help you.
Costumes
Please be sure you have marked your child's costume, shoes, and tights with their
name and class letter or team name. Please do not wash costumes in hot water or dry
them in a dryer. Please wash by hand in cold water and line dry only if needed. Some
costumes may need to be steamed out if they have any kind of tutu or netting. To do
this, you simply need to place the costume on a hanger in the bathroom, turn your
shower on hot, and shut all doors. This will allow all the wrinkles to fall out of the
costume and make it look fluffy and seamless. Never use a hot iron on dance costumes.
Please only allow your child to wear their costume at performances. Do not let them
play in the costume or wear to dance class until after the Year End review. Please make
sure you keep very good track of all costume pieces and hairpieces. It is very important
that your dancer has all costume pieces at their performance.
