Age limit

Essential:
(i)Matriculation or its equivalent;
Possession of First Class Master Certificate under
Inland Steam Vessels Act, 1917 (1 of 1917)
(OR)
(ii)Possession of Certificate of Competency as
Master of a Steam Vessel having engine of any
nominal Horse Power, (or) of a Motor vessel
having engines of any Break Horse Power, issued
by the Mercantile Marine Department under Major
Ports Harbour Crafts Rules.
(iii) Three years experience in handling vessels with
above capacity;
(iv) Knowledge of Swimming.
(v) Should pass the trade test prescribed and
conducted by the Port
Essential:

(i)Matriculation or its equivalent;


Should be in possession of First Class Driver
Certificate issued under Major Port Harbour
Craft Rules/ I.V. Act, 1917;
(OR)
(ii)Should be in possession of Certificate of
Competency as Engine Driver of a Motor
Vessel having engines of less than 565 BHP
issued by the Mercantile Marine Department
under Major Port Harbour Crafts Rules;
(iii)Three years service as engine Driver in
handling vessels with above capacity;
(iv)Knowledge of Swimming.
(v) Should pass the trade test prescribed and
conducted by the Port

under Inland Steam Vessels Act, 1917 (1 of 1917);
(OR)
(ii) Should be in possession of a Certificate of
Competency as Engine Driver of a Motor Vessel
having engines of less than 226 BHP issued by
the Mercantile Marine Department under Major
Port Harbour Craft Rules.
(iii) Knowledge of Swimming.
(iv)Should pass the trade test prescribed and conducted
by the Port

as Serang of a Steam Vessel having engines of less
than 40 nominal Horse Power or of a Motor vessel
having engines of less than 226 Break Horse Power,
issued by the Mercantile Marine Department under
Major Port Harbour Crafts Rules.
(iii)Knowledge of Swimming.
(iv)Should pass the trade test prescribed and
conducted by the Port
