The Asia Pacific ICT Awards, which aims at indentifying, recognizing and bestowing
global credibility to innovative regional ICT achievers who have developed unique ICT
products and solutions, is supported by 16 member economies which are Australia,
Brunei Darussalam, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Macau, Malaysia, Myanmar,
Pakistan, People Republic of China, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and
Vietnam. This year’s APICTA Awards is hosted by the Department of Information &
Communication Republic of Indonesia and ASPILUKI (Association of Computer Software
Industry of Indonesia).
“We would like to thank the APICTA judges and organizing committee for giving us this
very special award and the recognition. We feel extremely honored. We will continue the
effort of developing breakthrough innovation in the area of e-learning and interactive
digital media, and making KooBits a global brand that benefits millions.” said Mr Stanley
Han, General Manager and Co-Founder of Personal e-Motion, adding “We would like to
thank the Singapore Infocomm Technology Federation for giving us the trust to represent
Singapore to compete in the APICTA Awards 2008. We’d also like to thank the National
University of Singapore and NUS Enterprise for their strong support in our technology
venture, and the Media Development Authority of Singapore, especially Mr Michael Yap
and the Interactive Digital Media R&D Program Office for their extensive support to our
R&D effort. A special mention also goes to Mr Yee Jenn Jong, CEO of ASKnLearn Pte
Ltd, for his continuous support as our technology partner in Singapore and ASEAN
region. Special thanks also go to Mr Tham Chor Kee, Mr Melvin Yeoh, Mr Tamil
Charleston, and many other MOE teachers for their invaluable inputs and support to
bring KooBits into reality.”
Personal e-Motion, along with other winning teams from Singapore, fought hard and did
well in this year’s APICTA competition, helping to bring more recognition to Singapore as
one of the leading provider for interactive digital media, ICT tools and platform.
“Singapore has one of the best environments for ICT innovation. We feel very fortunate
that we started the project in Singapore,” commented Dr Chen, Director and Co-Founder
of Personal e-Motion, “The market is extremely responsive to ICT innovation; the
business environment is very conducive. We look forward to work with more partners to
bring our product beyond Singapore to new markets such as Australia, Korea, Japan,
Middle East, Europe and USA.”
