To understanding the meaning in the simple short transaction and
interpersonal conversation and simple short oral tesk functional
and monologue in recount text to interact in daily life context.

Basic competency

: 1.1 To response the meaning in the simple short transaction (to


get things done) and interpersonal accurately, fluently and
acceptable to interact in the daily life context involving telephone
conversation.

: 2 x 45 minutes.

2. Main activities:

a. The teacher ask the students to take out their listening book and make a worksheet with
separate columns for (1) initial predictions; (2) first listen; and (3) second listen.
b. The teacher tells the students that they will listens the audio telephone conversation,
and use the informal from the audio to writer a report.
c.The teacher gives the students the keywords or some information about the conversation.
In which the conversation is between Claire the employee of finance department with a
men, and writer down it in the while board.
The teacher ask the students to writer down the key words that given by the teacher in

their book and make some prediction about the conversation based on the keywords.
e.The teacher pair students up into the small groups, and ask them to discussion and work
together to find out information about the audio telephone conversation.
f. After that, teacher plays the audio for the first time. After finish, the teacher writer some
questions in the writer board: (1) what is the main idea of the conversation?. (2) what is
difficult to understand about what people said in the telephone conversation? (3) which
part was the easiest to understand and which part was the hardest to understand?
The teacher ask the students to make individual notes based on the questions while

share and discussion with their group, and then decide where to pay particular attention
during the second listening.
After the students were finished, the teacher plays the same audio for the second time,

and ask them to make note about the content of the audio during the second playing.
i. After the second listen, the teacher asks the students to make necessary revisions to
earlier notes and add any new information. And then ask them to compare notes with
their partners and make necessary additions and revisions.
j. The teacher leads the class in discussion and learners share what they have understood.
k. The teacher determines the main points and the important supporting details to the
students.
l. The teacher asks them to listen for a third time to verify any of the main points and
details they did not recognized earlier. The final listen will also include following along
with a transcript of the text, so that learners can match sound with written from.

3. Closing :
a. The teacher makes the conclusion with a class discussions of what learners
did to resolve difficulties and the effectiveness of their approach to the
activity. Based on the discussion, learners then writer goals for the next
listening activity.
