Job Purpose
The role of the Undergraduate Examinations and Assessments Administrator is to provide
effective and efficient administrative support to the Examination Officers of the undergraduate
programmes within Section of Communication and Deafness, Healthcare Sciences (Audiology)
and Speech & Language Therapy. You will also will undertake the servicing of CD Examination
Boards.
Key accountabilities
Prepare and format Life Sciences UG and PGT examination papers, A papers and re-sit
papers through to final production of a camera proof copy.
Liaise with the Examinations Office regarding exam papers, course documentation and
student records.
Co-coordinate the distribution of exam/resit scripts for marking and monitoring their
return.
Liaise with External Examiners regarding arrangements for meetings. Ensure all relevant
documentation and scripts are received by the External Examiner within a reasonable
timeframe.
Manage the entering of exam/resit results onto the Exams database and Campus
Solutions.
Arrange for examination/resit results to be issued to students.
Manage the hand in of assessed work and the onward distribution to relevant staff
including the return of marked work to students.
Manage and organise online assignment submission and marking within Blackboard
ensuring the Universitys 15 day feedback turnaround is adhered to.
Maintain student records, both within the School and by using Campus Solutions and
Discoverer systems
To ensure that copies of all forms are up to date and appropriately stocked for use by
students and/or staff.
Answering queries by email, letter, telephone and from personal callers, with appropriate
guidance.
General secretarial/clerical duties including photocopying, opening and distributing mail,
booking rooms for meetings, making arrangements for visitors etc.
Any other duties as reasonably requested by the Undergraduate Teaching and Learning
Manager and the Head of School Administration.
