Dear Parents,

MESSAGE OF THE WEEK CHRISTMAS FAIR THANKYOU

I would like to say such a huge thank you to all our parents who attended our fair and supported the PTFA last
Saturday. Despite the rain, it was incredibly well attended and you helped to raise the tremendous amount of
2265.67. This event and others that are held throughout the year make an enormous difference to the school owing
to your support and are thoroughly enjoyed by the children. A special thank you needs to be made to all our PTFA
parents who helped set up and run the fair under the direction of Mrs Abbie Middleton, our chairperson. Many
thanks indeed!
ROBINWOOD RESIDENTIAL FOR YEAR 4
Year 4 depart today for Robinwood. The school will be contacted when the children arrive to let everybody know of a
safe arrival. We will try our best to blog news on the school website of your childrens activities throughout our stay if
a Wi-Fi facility is available.
WHOLE SCHOOL PANTOMIME VISIT TO BLACKPOOL 15

TH

DECEMBER

We will be having an early lunch at 11am and then departing at 12pm. The performance is set to start at 1.30pm and
will last 2 hours with the interval. We would like to invite our children to bring a non-fizzy drink or two and a packet
of sweets of a reasonable size.
Please could these refreshments be put into a named carrier bag to prevent any loss and upset.
We expect to return shortly before 5pm.
I would please like to remind parents not to park directly outside the school to allow the coaches to park
and let the children off safely.
Please collect your children from their classroom entrances so we can ensure that they are all collected
safely.
We will communicate with school and texts will be sent to you if necessary to let you know of any delays due
to traffic conditions.
We currently have 69 parents that have not contributed and we would very much appreciate your payment
by Friday of this week. This is a considerable amount of money which unfortunately can affect how we can
afford future visits of this type.
JUNIOR CAROL SERVICE 6PM WEDNESDAY 16

TH

DECEMBER

Next week we are to have our Junior Carol Service at 6pm at St Marys Church. I would like to ask all junior children to
attend this service. It has been a really enjoyable and festive event in the past, with readings and songs that the
children have put a lot of effort into preparing for. Parental support is very much appreciated here to ensure your
childrens attendance.
CHOIR REHEARSALS
Choir will be held as usual this Thursday after school but this rehearsal will be the last one this term.
MAD SCIENCE
th

The 14 December will be the final week for our pupils attending their science club. Parents are invited to see their

offer individual cheques for each payment offered. We cannot process cheques that pay for both dinners and panto
tickets for example. We are really sorry for this..computer says no!
