Embedded System Design

This document outlines the objectives and content of a course on Embedded System Design-I. The course aims to develop skills in modeling, designing, and implementing next-generation embedded hardware and software systems with optimal performance, high confidence, and reduced time. The course covers topics like embedded hardware and software terminology, system modeling and hardware/software partitioning, hardware/software co-synthesis, microcontroller interfacing, memory interfacing, and real-time operating systems. Evaluation includes short answer questions from the entire syllabus and two out of three questions to be attempted from each of two sections. References for further reading on embedded systems and hardware/software co-design are also provided.
