The food and its way of obtained different from organism to


organism. In amoeba food takes sing finger like projections of
cell surface called as pseudopodia, they fuse over the food
particle by forming a food vacuole. Inside that food vacuoles
complex substances are broken down into simple substances. Pupils listen
Then these simple substances diffuse into cytoplasm. The
remaining undigested material is moved to the surface of cell and
thrown outside. Paramecium is also a unicellular organism; it
contains cytoplasm, trichocysts, gullet, food vacuole, macro
nucleus and the micro nucleus. In paramecium the cytoplasm
streams in a cyclic manner and through this movement the food
particles reach all parts of the cell. This movement is called
cyclosis.
