Lottie Moon Foreign Missions Offering

For the first time in decades, we as Southern Baptists are about to be
forced to bring missionaries home from their fields of ministry.
Gifts to support the work of these called servants have decreased.
The fields are white unto harvest. Will you sacrifice this year to
see that your missionaries can stay and serve? Our 2015 goal for
the Lottie Moon Offering to support the work of our missionaries in
foreign countries is $12,000. Begin praying now how you and your
family can be a part of this worthy cause.

Please lift your Pastor Search Committee in prayer daily.

They are: Jerry Pollock, Ron Gilliard, Richard Dykes,
Tanya Crum, Frances Edmunds, Susan Lanier.

Thanks
Thanks for supporting the Women on Mission, Girls in Action and
Mission Friends by giving to the World Hunger fund to feed people
all around the globe. We have collected $767.15. Tanya Crum

Wedding Facilitator
We have a need for persons to serve as facilitator for couples who
wish to be married at First Baptist Church. If you have an interest
in discovering the benefits and requirements of this person, please
go to the bulletin board outside of the Church Office for more
information. A training session will be scheduled within the next
month.

Gifts To Bus Repair Account

Please consider a generous offering (above the tithe) to help with
the unforeseen expenses we face in making necessary repairs to our
large bus.

FLOWERS IN THE SANCTUARY

We all appreciate the fine work that our Decorations Committee does each week to make our Sanctuary beautiful. The artificial and live arrangements of plants and greenery are a
source of pride and are seen on television, video and the internet recordings for all to see. Please contact the office if you
would like to reserve a Sunday to place flowers in the Sanctuary in memory or honor of a loved one, or to commemorate a
special event like a birthday or anniversary.

CHRISTMAS MUSICAL
Reserve the date of Sunday night, December 6th for the Chancel Choir & Saints Alive Choirs presentation of I HEAR THE
PROPHET CALLIN.

COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING SERVICE

Again this year, the Christian community of Bainbridge is invited to attend a service of thanksgiving, where we praise God
for His goodness and mercy. Churches all around town are
cancelling their own activities on Sunday evening of November 22. We will gather in the sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church, on Shotwell Street, at 6:00 PM for a time of worship and praise led by the choir of FPC and a message from
Rev. Mike Brown, Pastor at the First United Methodist
Church. There will be no activities here at First Baptist
Church, allowing all of us to share our thanksgiving together.

AWANA Sundays @ 5:30 pm

We are collecting travel size items for the New Orleans Friendship
House. This ministry provides homeless women in the New Orleans
area a free shower in the hopes of introducing them to Jesus. During
Mardi Gras, they will provide over 100 showers a day! If you have
any travel size items you are willing to donate, please bring them to
the church office. Thank you!

Library Survey
To meet the Library Committee's goal to have a useful Christian
resource to enhance the Christian life, please be sure to share your
thoughts on the survey passed out last Sunday. Completed surveys
may be returned to the designated containers in the Education Building
and the Choir Entrance of the Shell Annex. All individuals on the
Builder email list also received a link to an online option. Thank you
so much for your assistance!

Turkey Bowl
Who is ready for some flag football?? Monday,
November 23rd will be our first annual Turkey Bowl.
We will be meeting at the Bill Reynolds Sports Park
football/soccer field for some flag football and chili
cookout. We will have chili and hot dogs and a time
for us to hang out, fellowship, and kickoff the
celebration of Thanksgiving week. Football teams
will be co-ed. Make plans to attend. Parents are
invited to come, play, and eat. Feel free to contact
me with any questions.

Christmas Ministry
Our students have a special opportunity to provide
Christmas for a family in need during the Christmas
season. In order to help support this opportunity, we
will be having a spaghetti lunch. We will be
providing lunch following the service on the morning
of December 6 for a donation to help offset the cost
to provide for this family. Be looking out for more
details.
Blessings,
Jeff
