PROJECT DESCRIPTION
We are all aware that one of the most problem of our community is
that there are many malnourish children living with us. But thats not all..
Most of us are not aware or informed by the word TABLE MANNERS.
We need to have a proper hygiene, proper grooming and proper way of
eating, not just only for us but for the better future.
So in this project, I was challenged because of the children. They need
to be disciplined while they are still young, for I believe in saying: Ang
kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan.
With the help of my fellow Girl Scouts and my Troop Leader, I will
conduct Supplementary Feeding Program in the chosen Barangay.
In connection with this, before the children will be having their meal, I
will educate them about dinning matters, hand washing activity, and to Pray
before eating.
I want them to be a good citizen and leader someday. Im looking for
the better change in the world and I want to be a part of it.
Theres a saying Ive learned from the Girl Scout training. If we have
UNITY then, TOGETHER WE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD.
OBJECTIVES
-The Children should be able to understand the importance of table
manners.
-Feed the 24 malnourish children and seek the change in their weight
and in their table behavior.
-In the end of the project, the children of RH-4 will have knowledge in
table manners and will have a change in their unnecessary attitude towards
eating.
METHODS
1. Write a permission letter from the parents and Barangay Captain.
2. Endorsement letter for the principal and council executive.
3. Survey the selected project area.
4. Seek the help and cooperation of the community.
5. Plan for the project.
6. Coordinate to the proper person responsible for the project.
7. Follow up.
8. Networking.
9. Implementation of the plan.
10. Acquire skills.
11. Documentation written and pictorials.
12. Maintaining a diary.
13. Submission of Logbooks.

VERSES THAT INSPIRES ME..
Psalms 145:9
o The Lord is good to all: and His tender mercies are
over all His works.
He is good to all, He loves all of us and Hes looking to us
fairly. So whatever is your state in life, He will always be
faithful in loving you.
John 14:1
o Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God,
believe also in me.
It teaches us that in every trial we are facing, dont hesitate
to trust God and let our hearts not be troubled.
1 Samuel 16:7
o For man looketh on the outward appearance, but
the Lord looketh on the heart.
Whatever is our outward appearance, maybe we are ugly or
beautiful, rich or poor, strong or weak, as long as our heart is
clean, then we can please God for He is looking on our
hearts.
Psalms 46:1
o God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in
trouble.
Whenever we are troubled or confused, just go to God. Pray
and seek His presence, and when you feel like hope is gone,
cry unto Him for He is our great refuge. He is always there to
comfort and carry our burdens.
Psalms 133:1
o Behold, how good and pleasant it is for brethren to
dwell in unity.
As Philippine Girl Scout active members, we need to have
unity and cooperation for it is pleasant in the eyes of the
Lord when we all have unity. Together, we can change the
world.

REFERENCES
Vitamins and Minerals
Reference: Teens Health from Nemours
Vitamins and Minerals make peoples bodies work properly.
Vitamins are organic substances, minerals are inorganic elements that
come from the soil and water and are absorbed by plants or eaten by
animals. Your body needs larger amount of some minerals, such as
calcium, to grow and stay healthy. Other minerals like chromium,
copper, iodine, iron, selenium, and zinc are called traced minerals
because you only need very small amounts of them each day.
Application:
Vitamins and minerals boost the immune system, support
normal growthand development, and help cells and organs do
their jobs. For example, youveprobably heard that carrots are
good for your eyes. Its true! Carrots are full ofsubstances
called carotenoids that your body converts to vitamin A, which
helpsprevent eye problems.
Eating variety of foods is the best way to get all the
vitamins andMineralsyou need each day. As well as the right
balance of carbohydrates, proteins, fats, and calories. Whole or
unprocessed foods like fresh fruitsand vegetables, whole
grains, low-fat dairy products, lean meats, fish, and poultry are
the best choices for providing the nutrients your body needs to
stay healthy and grow properly.

ABSTRACT/SUMMARY REPORT
Observe, Help, and Develop. I conducted HEALTH-Supplementary
Feeding project because I want to achieve those things. It all started
from the beginning when we conducted Chief Girl Scout Medal Scheme
Project Orientation last November 15, 2014 at Cotabato City Central
Pilot School-Social Hall.
I have chosen HEALTH as my project. Its not only for feeding the
children but also educating them how to be a good citizen in the future.
I want to have a change in the community towards the children.
I have taken Barangay Rosary Heights 4, Cotabato City as the location
of my project. My beneficiaries are the malnourished children living in
the Barangay.
I started the project by writing an endorsement letter for my Principal
and the Council executive letting them know that Im applying to Chief
Girl Scout Medal Scheme Project. I looked for my workplace and talked
to their Barangay Nutritionist Scholar which is actually Mrs. Emma
Matildo and explain the said project. We also talked to Hon. Anthony
Aba, Barangay RH4 Chairman and he agreed about the project.
We conducted a community survey together with my working girls.
After choosing my beneficiaries, we measured their height and weight.
Then we fed and educated them. Until the Final evaluation came and
ended. We also prepared for the turn-over ceremony and finishing our
papers.
Sustaining the Project
To sustain The project doesnt end after it has been conducted. I
hope that the children would adopt what I taught them, that they will
also remember proper grooming, proper hygiene and to always eat
healthy and nutritious food.
Plans for sustaining the project
1. It is my primary duty to reach out the children by means of
visiting them.
2. Extend extra time to teach them new stories and action songs,
and to develop ones self confidence while theyre still young.
3. Contact the parents of the children and make a small meeting
teaching them the proper way of preparing the healthy foods for
their kids. Challenge the parents to take good care of their
children and always observe their behavior.
4. Together with my workgroup, encourage and inspire the children
and their parents of our good deeds to other people and
community.
EFFECTS TO THE COMMUNITY
The said project achieved its objectives. People in the community are
very happy every time Im going there. The children are very excited
with their lessons from me. Now, they have learned many things from
the project. They already knew how the proper hand washing was done.
They also knew now many things like praying before eating, what to eat
in order for them to be healthy and they are more behave now while
facing the table.
EFFECTS ON THE CANDIDATE
The project is quite challenging and interesting. I am very happy
whenever I see the childrens smiling faces. In conducting the project,
I learned to be more friendly, though Im a shy person, I developed to
speak in front of many people with confidence. I also learned how to
control my patience since Im negotiating with the kids. But in the end,
Im so happy to see the changes in their behavior.

NARRATIVE REPORT
Good grooming affects ones personality. Since cleanliness is next to
Godliness, like many people said, we should know how to be Hygienic.
I intended to study the health of the children since my heart is close
to the kids. I studied the basis in solving the health status of the
children and identified whether they are normal, underweight,
overweight, or obese.
In this project, I am tasked to feed malnourished children. Not just
feeding them but also educating them to be a good citizen in the
future. Some people are not educated towards table manners, personal
grooming and proper hygiene. So I think it will be a great help for the
children to develop their behavior with the help of my project.
According to my research, First impressions are lasting. Your image
influences what other people think of you. Your image shows people

REFLECTION
The Lord is good to all; and His tender mercies
are over all His works Psalms 145:9
God is good to all. He loves all of us and Hes
looking to us fairly. So whatever your state in
life Rich or poor, fair or black, tall or stout,
beautiful or not, as long as you have a good heart,
you are blessed beyond measure for He is always
faithful in loving you.
He never let us passes challenges without Him
and He never fails to love us eternally despite of
the things we made that makes Him grieve. He is
always there and never left us; that what makes
Him good all the time.
Just be faithful in Him, for He promised us that
He will never leave nor forsake us in times of
