AUTOMATIC BATTERY

CHARGERS
FULL 5A, 10A, 15A, 20A
The automatic battery charger allows to charge and maintain a set of battery, ensuring the
efficiency and life of the batteries of a genset.
Innovation and quality are the base philosophy which defined the production of a rugged line
of <<battery chargers>>, able to meet the most different needs.
These automatic battery chargers include a series of features able to fit the most common
types of batteries (with lead and with nickel/cadmium) keeping unchanged and constant the
various requirements for recharge cycle and for maintaining the battery as a buffer unit.

Operation features
The automatic battery charger is composed by a compact single block
suitable to be fixed on wall and completed with transformer and electronic
control part, with dissipator components for charge modulation and visual
display of running state lamp (led).
Start of battery charge with gradual change of charge current value from
<<O>> to the maximum value. Thus its possible to have a charge with
defined and regular current and variable voltage.
Once the value of rated voltage is reached, there is a gradual current
variation and a battery charge with constant voltage at the value.
In case of high absorption or at the start of the charge, it is possible to set
a time of 2 to 60 minutes for automatic full charge, using a potentiometer
on the front of the battery charger.
Furthermore there is the possibility to select the full charge with external
signal.
The modulation of power to charge the battery is done using some diodes
which shut the transformer secondary winding.
On the front of the battery charger a series of leds is fit, signalling the status.

Options

REMOTE SIGNALING: allows a remote repetition of the battery conditions.

BATTERY FAILURE: detection of an abnormal lasting state of battery voltage.
CURRENT/VOLTAGE COMMUTATION: according to charge current, the voltage value at end of charge is automatically
preset.
DISPLAY OF STATE CONDITIONS: to check rapidly the battery efficiency. Battery state: High, Medium, Low.
PROTECTION FUSE: to protect the battery charger on supply from network.
REGULATION OF CURRENT OUTPUT: a current output at a preset value is obtained by means of a selector with 2 to 6 fixed
values or with potentiometer.
COMMUTATION FOR SELECTION OF INITIAL CHARGE: allows the selection of an initial charge rating to start the battery.
STABILISED OUTPUT: by reducing the ripple rate to minimum, it is possible to use the battery charger as Feeder.
THERMAL PROTECTION: protection of the battery charger by means of a special temperature sensor.
ANTI-STATIC FILTER: for use of the battery charger in a particular environment.
