    Final Year Project : Development of RFID Based Supermarket Trolley System
    Abstract
    In this project, RFID is used as an access card. So each product has an individual RFID card
    which represents product name, price and expiry date. RFID reader is interfaced with

    microcontroller. Vertically, the reader will identify the products that tapped on it and display the
    information directly on the LCD. The device is installed on the supermarket trolley.

    Objectives:
    Develop a system with an RFID based on supermarket trolley.
    To research on the problem domain which includes RFID technologies, existing similar
    systems and also suitable programming language to develop the system.

    Project Scope:
    This project is being developed for supermarket application.
    This system only total up prices of items but does not include the payment transaction.
    The display of details of the product will be simulated on an LCD.
