Objectives:
By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:
1. Replace pictures with words.
2. Copy and write sentences in neat legible print.
3. Trace words and rewrite sentences (5
questions).
Activities:
1. Teacher reads the story In the Garden and
asks Wh questions to the pupils. ( Appendix 1,
Story 2 )
Ex: What can you see in the garden?
Where is the chick?
2. Teacher pastes the picture cards (related to
the story) and guides pupils to spell,
pronounce and write the words under the
pictures.
3. Teacher drills the words gets pupils to read the
story in group and class.
4. Teacher guides pupils to complete the exercise
in the activity book ( pg 107 and 110 )
5. Teacher corrects pupils mistakes.
6. Pupils participate in the discussion activity of
