Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
As organizations expand, they need a

Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) meets

leverages Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1
Hyper-V accessing a Brocade Storage Area
Network (SAN) through NetApp FAS3170
storage devices to meet the storage
performance, efficiency, and manageability
requirements of VDI.

NetApp Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1:


Increases server infrastructure reliability
and flexibility while providing support
for VDI deployments through Microsoft
Hyper-V hypervisor technology.
NetApp unified storage: Provides
a simpler way to manage multiple
storage protocols on the same system
while making it easier to accomplish
all the tasks associated with storage
management. The unified Data ONTAP
operating system includes built-in
multiprotocol support that can provide
substantial reductions in Total Cost of
Ownership (TCO) for VDI implementations.
NetApp Citrix XenDesktop 5: Natively
supports Microsoft Hyper-V and
integrates with Microsoft System Center
Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM)
through the use of snap-ins. XenDesktop
5 offers a powerful and flexible desktop
virtualization solution that makes virtual
desktops available to users anywhere, no
matter what device they are using.
