Dear

From,

Question 4
Dear Lisa,

Read the letter from Michelle to Lisa.

Last Friday, I attended my cousins wedding which was held at a beach in
Redang Island. My family and I arrived a few days earlier so we could enjoy the
beach before the wedding.
It has been a while since I was on a beach holiday and I spent most of my
time alternating between swimming in the sea and sunbathing on the beach. I also
went on a couple of snorkelling trips around the island. It was lovely to see the
different and colourful fish swimming around the beautiful corals. I was told by the
guide that baby sharks would occasionally appear but they posed no danger to
humans as they were only curious about us.
On the wedding day, I was busy helping out and making sure everything was
in order. When the guests arrived, I helped to usher them into their seats while the
bride and the groom got ready in separate rooms. My parents were chit-chatting
away with the people when suddenly, soft piano music started playing.
In that instance, all the guests stood up to welcome my cousin, the bride. The
bridesmaids walked down the aisle while holding bouquets of flowers.
Subsequently, the bride followed closely behind. As soon as the groom saw his
bride, he smiled. The ceremony was short and sweet, as well as heart-warming.
After the ceremony, everyone headed to a hotel where the wedding reception
was held. We had delicious food, danced with the guests and listened to speeches.
All in all, I had a great time celebrating this happy occasion.
Your friend,
Michelle

A Fighters Lines
I am old and worn
and have lost all my strength
sufferings
and the history of the fight for independence
have forced sacrifices
that know no name
or life
from the wheelchair of the rest of my days
I, body and energy crushed
see and cannot do much
these times are too big a challenge
for the remnants of my crippled years
the net of deceit spread everywhere
disturbs me
In the name of justice
Wake up and form ranks of our ancestor
Be brave
And erect a wall of people
Stand up heirs of our freedom
I have no more voice
It is you now who should speak!
