B. Lab Protocol
1. Arrive at correct time to the lab (1:00 pm sharp). Attendance will be taken.
2. Collect your file (office spring file) from the instructor. Put your report in the file and update the
index (first page in your file)
3. At 1:10 pm file of each group will be checked
4. Initial viva will be conducted to test your preparedness
5. Conduct the experiment (no one is allowed to leave the lab during this time without instructors
permission)
6. Tabulate your results and get them checked and signed by the instructor. Include this page in the
report.
7. Regular viva based on the previous experiment and the report will be conducted

E. Lab guidelines:

Lab coat and shoes are compulsory


Do not wear any loose garments, flammable clothing, tie up long hair
Wear eye-protection where ever needed
Exercise precaution while operating equipments/instruments
Follow all verbal and written instructions
Do not touch any equipment or chemical unless specifically instructed
Do not eat or drink while in the lab
Report all incidents (spills, breakages, injuries)
Properly dispose off all chemical waste
Never remove any supply, chemical or equipment from the lab
Mobile phones should not be used while in the lab
Unruly behavior/mishandling equipments/arriving late (penalty: zero marks)

Make-up will be granted for genuine cases only. Prior permission of IC is compulsory
