3. Lobbying: Legislation of all sorts on the state and national level have profound impacts on local businesses.
However, most small businesses have neither the time, resources, understanding, nor desire to lobby on a particular bill. Our Government Affairs Committee is on task meeting
regularly and staying on top of political issues that affect us.
According to the United States Chamber of Commerce, Were the loud voice you need to be heard in the political arena, to represent the important issues that affect small businesses. With your input, we can make a difference and provide tangible results.
4. Getting involved: We have a variety of committees that allow you to participate in this
Community on issues of importance to you. Make a difference and have your voice heard.
5. Discounts: Check out all the member-to-member discounts available to you right now! There are so many
deals and discounts! And, taking advantage of them supports and builds our business community.
So yes, joining the chamber of commerce is a very good idea. Even better, is being an active member!
Remember Lisle Ale Fest will be Saturday September 26th from 4:00 to 8:00pm at the Prairie Walk Pond, Burlington Ave/Garfield Ave.
Hard to believe but the last Cruise Nights will be Saturday September 19th in Downton Lisle.
Together, I know we will WORK TOGETHER and grow the Chamber to new levels of success.

CHAMBER SPOTLIGHT
Madeleine, Whats for Dinner? is dinner to go for the time crunched or who
do not feel like cooking. The meals are prepared to taste like they were made
just for them. They are not like restaurant food. Freshly baked madeleines
are included with the meal for dessert. The owner, Madeleine Pachay, trained
as a chef. After many years of working for others, she decided to open her
own restaurant. Her guests can pick up a ready to eat dinner and be able to eat
well. Every day there will be three entrees to choose from, plus appropriate
side dishes. Check it out for a tasty meal!
