September 1996-February 2009
Position involved all aspects of managing a construction office with 50 employees, including payroll,
accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections and supervision of office personnel. Experience in Quick
Books and Microsoft Word and Excel.

Flack’s Interiors – Customer Service


March 1996-September 1996
Started in receiving department and was promoted to customer service. Responsible for recording goods
received, assisting designers with customer orders and customer relations.

Self Employed – Beauty Consultant


1995-2006
Ownership and operation of personal business, expanding network of clients through self motivated sales
effort. Identified and implemented new and creative ways to market products. This included sales as a
vendor in various trade shows and fashion shows throughout the Southeast and through my own website.

Karen’s Fine Apparel – Part Time Sales Associate


1992-1995
Part time (approximately 20 hrs. per week) sales associate for women’s specialty apparel shop. Assisted
owner with store openings and closings on assigned days, visual merchandising, inventory control and
fashion show coordination.

Self Employed – Telemarketing Service

Telemarketing for medical sales representative of Southeast territory and medical software company, R.D
Lippert & Associates.
Services included initial product exposure, preliminary financial qualification of prospective buyers,
mailing collateral materials with physicians and employees within the medical field.

Outside sales representative for pageant, prom and bridal jewelry line. Position required extensive travel
throughout the Southeast establishing product line in new markets.

Summation of Retail Management Experience


1970’s – 1989
Worked in the retail sales field beginning as a sales associate with a major department store while attending
school. Progressed throughout various departments including visual merchandising and retail management,
eventually attaining position of area manager.

*Moved to Georgia after death of spouse. Took sabbatical to establish myself in new home.
