Library
The library is up and running with
students checking out their library books.
Grades K-3rd may have 1 book at a time.
Grades 4th and 5th may have 2 books at a
time. All students in grades 1st 5th will
be reading to meet their AR goals. Mr.
Meyer will also be challenging the
students this year to reach 7,000 AR
points. The students already have many
ideas for him to do when they meet that
challenge.
MUSIC
The music room is busy preparing
for programs that will be performed
this year! Fifth grade will be
s i n g i n g fo r o u r v e t e r a n s o n
Veterans Day, November 11, at 9
AM. All fifth grade students are
encouraged to send in a picture of
any family or friends that have served our
country in the armed forces. Please
include name, time they served if you
know, and branch of service with the
picture. We will be including them in the
program that day. Please, also invite any
veterans to our school as our guests!!
Rolling Thunder will be presenting a flag
folding presentation for us, too.
The kindergarten, first, third, fourth,
and fifth grade classes will be performing
for WinterFest. Mark your calendars for
December 2-3 for those performances.
PreK, kindergarten, and first grades
perform on December 2. Grades 3-5 will
perform on December 3.
You probably noticed second grade is
not included with WinterFest this year!
They will be performing alone in the
spring. That date has not yet been
determined. We will attempt to have it
not interfere with testing times. A note
will be sent after the date is chosen!
As you can see, we have a lot of work to
do! We are looking forward to a great
year!

The Love and Logic way: Sam's parents know that @Principal_Meyer
empathy is the most important skill. They also know that
kids need to learn how to succeed with nice teachers...and
demanding ones, too. These parents respond, "Thats got to be rough. Would you like
to hear how some kids get along with tough teachers?"
Kids learn to solve problems and be responsible when we resist the urge to rescue or
lecture.
