Ancient Warriors 18.08.

2015

I decided to go public with this, because the dota community and especially some pros and newcomer
players of the scrim groups know me for years and there are bad things happening in this scene where
I feel morally obliged to reveal them. I have been through a lot especially with House of Gamers and
GameOnline and the time has come to finally write about it.
Note: Ancient Warriors is apparently in some way sponsored by GameOnline. This has nothing to do
with the organization (Internetcafe). I have never met their founder in reallife, but he was very nice,
appreciated my work and always paid out our salary at the end of the month earlier in 2015. The only
person I met was Kakashi at the Redull Gaming Grounds Cologne 1 year ago in September 2014.
Back then he was the manager of House Of Gamers. I asked him to make a contract for us to get
salaray and a high % of tournament winnings, which he did. He was the one who made a contract with
GameOnline at the start of 2015 so m4lem, eskillz, Slashstrike, zeroji and myself would get a contract
for our passion, competitive Dota 2. I would work for the organization again.
The following parts refer only about the team Ancient Warriors. A team build pre- and while The
International 2015 that was supposed to stick together for this year to become a tier 1 team.

As most of you know I played support in the last years, position 4 or 5 depending on the support
player that was on my side. About one month ago after rmN-, paS and me left Goomba, because we
didnt perform the way we used to earlier in the year, I asked zeroji and Xcalibur to make a team with
me. Their team Gameonline with 5 Swedes did not work out and they wanted to team up. They said
they respect me and would like to play again.
However, we needed two more players. Now all the captains and players of the competitive scene
know that finding two players for a competitive team is complex, especially when the goal of the team
is to ultimately defeat tier 1 teams, win online and lan tournaments and qualify through the
International qualifier or if some amazing things happen get a direct invite.
The only offlane player I knew that might want to try out was solen, who was teamless. What
happened in Team Coast at the TI4 European Qualifiers made me think that he could be a player for
our team this year. Since nothing but I dont knows and I dont have anyone got out of Xcalibur
and zeroji regarding carry players, I made a list with players who might be interested, too. After a
discussion they did not want to pair up with them and instead I told them I can do a role swap to core,
so that we dont waste time and continue getting better individually and as a team. Prior to the
International 5 Xcalibur wanted us to play the playstyle Secret used with him being position 1 through
mid or in some scenarios by safelaning and myself playing position 2. Either with lane controlling
heroes like Viper, Razor, SF who in their style get a Mekansm, pushing heroes with DK, Leshrac,
Brew, Bristleback or nuking mids with QoP, Zeus, Puck, Storm, Ember (On a side note there is way
more to write about those heroes, this is written to simplify the position 2 Secret used regularly).
During that time we had a break as our second support player, an old friend of mine with Illusionist
who by the way deserves a great team, solen, Xcalibur and me were on vacation separately.
As a result our main start wouldve been after The International 5. About 2 weeks ago Steve made his
choice to play mid including all different type of mid heroes. Our lineup would then be 1 Amoment 2
Xcalibur 3 Solen 4/5 Illusionist and Zeroji depending on the hero.
Until this point the idea of the team sounds reasonable right? I was not a fan of copying Secret for
multiple reasons, which I stated to my team. I know Xcalibur is young and for his age he beat some

tier 1 teams with Fnatic and might seem to think you can copy the prior to TI5 strongest team in the
world, nevertheless thats not how it works. Every team has its own way of playing the game, other
hero pools, strategies, ideas and a different captain. Its possible to copy some heroes, item builds,
playstyles, that however is not your OWN team then, its just a time period where their strategy will
work. You beat some tier 1 teams with Meepo and Tinker in a patch where they were the most broken
heroes in the game. Being mechanically good with them is not something special. Thousands and
more of Dota 2 players and one hundred thousands of StarCraft 2 players will laugh at you if you think
so. The whole Fnatic strategy was build around you at that time. When Meepo and Tinker were
banned they didnt know what to pick for you which made them put Trixi on carry and you on mid
with a Razor. A Razor. Other than that Fly picked Io Tiny. Another strategy that teams pick for years,
because if executed right it can win you the games way easier than other strategies do, especially if
you have an amazing player with BigDaddy on your side. 13th place TI4. Fnatic disbands. 95% of any
other strategy ultimately failed with you.
Then you somehow try out House Of gamers in joinDOTA League Season 3 and Goomba crushes you
to the lower bracket of the Division 1 qualifiers. If it wasnt for my friendship with Kakashi
(manager), Key, Slashstrike, SlhZ to stand-in in the deciding game, House of Gamers would have
most likely not made it to Division 1. Instead of being happy with what you got you ditched us to try
out NaVi US, although you knew you will live in Europe for only getting replaced after a week. If I
wasnt such a mannered person to give you a second chance for House Of Gamers, which I joined a
month later after recieving an invite, you wouldve been teamless. I dont like it when I see a young
player with some experience who wants to play competitive gets thrown into matchmaking again. In
these times having a team to scrim and play officials with is mandatory.
House of Gamers had some personal problems that pro players might not believe. During January
2015 our second support back then injured his eyes and his doctor told him that he can only use
computer screens for 1 or 2 hours maximum every day, else he might lose sight. So we had to fill the
role with someone new. My teammates wanted to play with Jellopy who would do a role swap from
core to support for us. I know how long it takes to do a role swap. Every role has at least 30 heroes
who shuffle every patch, some are seen at all times and most teams specialize on 5-10 for every
player. To play them in matchmaking, inhouse leagues, scrims and officials is always something else.
Watching replays of pro players on the heroes and training them for yourself takes its time. There is
always something new to learn in Dota 2, yes even the pros will agree that they figured out some
things just recently, although they play a hero for a long time.
I understand how much in this case Jellopy would have to learn and I wouldve given him the time
from Januray to TI. However he gave up on it and wanted to go back to core. Our offlane player SlhZ
had a private problem as well that I wont publish and could not perform the way we needed him to
like he used to. So we asked m4lem who is a carry player to go offlane, as again, there was no offlane
player free in our reach and he did it for the greater good of the team. Not only did I draft and captain
all these shuffling players, I looked for scrims every single day and spend hours every day scheduling
and searching for opponents in order to get a stable roster.
We have tried pub players and Dota 2 Top 200 leaderboard players, unfortunately most of them have
played thousands of games of matchmaking and struggle very hard to play with the same 4 players
every day. They are not used to Captains Mode either and the strategic movement, items and all the
small things that make competitive games so enjoyable. Of course it is possible to make them work
(see Sumail on Evil Geniuses), but that takes a very experienced team and a manager like Charlie
Yang. The willingness to commit to one of them is something most of the players I worked with had
not.
I had high hopes for Zeroji, Xcalibur, Solen and biver to understand the things that I just described in
detail, however I was wrong. You dont know much about me and dont care about what you know.
Solen brought in Biver instead of Illusionist, because if his Danish fellow-countryman didnt go with

him, he would not try out and eventually join. That exact person plays support, the role I played
together with zeroji and that we wanted to play, if the team did not want me to learn carry. The way
you got rid of me after one week was honorless. You removed me one day after winning our 2nd
match over Out of our League in joinDOTA League Season 7. Nice off-day you needed there to plan
your next filthy move. Solen and Biver you do not have the guts to talk to me in Teamspeak to tell me
that you dont want to spend time with me switching a role? Who do you think you are? You come to
my team with whom Ive been through really though times, steal my friends (not anymore) and take
the joindota division slot from Kakashi and me who I thought until yesterday would be on my side.
Good job on talking bad about the Goomba manager who has done nothing but greatness to Goomba
and their players when I was with them. In few months she got us into more tournaments than you did
in five times as much and I earned more without salary from these than when I was around you. From
being a stand-in for the division 1 play-offs it was me who brought GameOnline to division 1 finals
and later on to the joinDOTA MLG Pro League Season with my daily practice, preparation for our
next opponent and watching our and their replays.
Playing 6 hours scrims and officials every day and then spending another 6 hours every day on
watching replays, playing matchmaking, practicing last-hitting, lane control etc. is what I did after The
International 2015 and what I wouldve done in the next 12 months. Xcalibur (Im assuming this
comes from solen, either way go to hell) you tell me you wouldnt know if I would be just another
carry or an extraordinary carry and bring in just another carry instead of me to replace me? And at the
same time block my support spot in case you do not want to wait until my hero pool and skill
exponentially grows? You are all shady and awful people. Every action I took was for the greater good
of the team to finally be able to play together for a year, with us three zeroji and xcalibur who build up
my trust for months and two new players with solen who I thought might work out and his follower
that we needed to learn about.
I take back what I wrote to you on steam Steve with good luck with it. You and zeroji havent
considered me going back to support? Are you insane? At the same time you think a Grandmaster
StarCraft 2 player who carried especially you zeroji with Chen, Io, Visage, Enchantress through our
dota 2 competitive games does not have the mechanical skills to be a carry player? You are out of your
mind! You cant tell me shit, who the fuck are you?

I do not wish you good luck. You fall into the arms of solen that you know for a week and let him
convince you there is no other place for you. I hope it will rain losses and darkness in your Dota 2
careers (LMAO). Every time a thread is made about you on a forum there is a comment with your
career ending and the time is soon, because no one wants shady people like you. To anyone who gets
ever asked to play with them in the future, take my advice and dont do it. Never do I want to meet any
of you again, including you Kakashi. When I asked you if you know about it their plan you answered
with no, ROFL and let it happen like I have done nothing for you in the last 18 months. Having a
family made me think you know how to care about someone, but it seems you rather trust strangers
and throw away the person that went through the hardest times with you and worked an insane amount
of hours despite having studies and exams. The right decision wouldve been to tell them that they

wont play under GameOnline after them merging from Saturday to Sunday without me. The least you
couldve done is to tell them if they want an established carry, they can go for it, but only with me

You have lied to me, took my idea to try the player I asked for, used me when I was strong and abused
me when I was weak. You are so completely fake. Friendship is worth almost nothing in this scene.
That I disappointed some with my drafts in the last 2 years doesnt bother me. We either won or I
learned a lot from the hundreds of games against tier 1 and tier 2 teams. To all my previous
teammates, every time somebody inside our team wanted a certain ban or hero I heard you. If you had
a strategy in mind that you thought is stronger than the one I had for the game, we went for it.
Sometimes you wanted to and then I let you draft, too. Its the drafters responsibility to go with his gut
when nothing is said. However most of the times people were dead silent during the draft and often
went afk as they didnt really care about it or dont know anything about it. After the game they
complained if something went wrong. If you want to be professional be there, but you werent always.
If everything goes right most teammates take it as granted instead of commending you. Latest boosts
the teams atmosphere and energy more than you would imagine.
Having drafted against fng when Virtus Pro played against Goomba it is clearly visible that if the
drafter has the trust of his teammates great things will happen. They kept winning and got a direct
invite to TI5 and made one of the highest CIS finishes at The International 2015 with eliminating
Team Secret. Without the trust of his teammates he could not have achieved what he believed in while
playing for NaVi.
Speaking of Secret, Puppey drafted his teammates Enigma offlane, Batrider Jungle and Zeus Support
when I played against them. Something were you have to have faith inside the team and make for an
exciting game. For some it might be a mystery, but after having read everything that happened to
Team Secret after TI5 I personally think that a draft like this empowers the whole team, if they win
with it. Tier 1 teams can lose to Tier 2 teams its seen everywhere and if a draft like this fails, there
will most likely be arguments inside the team as everyone has the desire to win or like iceiceice put it
he hates losing more than winning. I do not know much about Secrets decision making of placing s4 to
the drafting position, he mightve been more stable, but in the end they found a way to believe in each
other. Other teams like Empire and Alliance drafted some very interesting strategies against me that
only work if the whole team has faith in each other, but I wont reveal them as they might still use
those in the future.
On that score tier 2 teams are extremely unstable. With House Of Gamers and GameOnline there were
19 different players in almost 2 years to join the team, leave, rejoin or standins. Every time this
happens you need to adapt as drafter, because many players have a hero pool that doesnt fit your idea
of playing the game. At times there are very strong heroes that are banned or picked every game and if
your standin or new player can not play those you are at in a disadvantageous position. It was even
easier when I ranked top 3 of all the invited 500 players in the ixdl invite inhouse league to draft with
4 shuffling players, because they played anything as they had the desire to win with top 3 bringing
prize money and of course to get better at the game. One of those was buugi who almost made it to TI
2015 this time around (TOP 3 finish). Here I want to give a shoutout to Goomba, too, who are one of
the few teams that are rather stable. Thats where I made the most daily progress this year as there
would not be any changes.
That being said I told solen from the first game that in 6.84c I think the carry player should not draft.
In teams, especially upcoming tier 2 teams, its one thing to be the captain, but another to be the
drafter. Drafters have somewhat of a special place in every team as others dont know how to, are too
lazy to learn, have fear of doing drafts, cant take blame or do not want to experience any of those

things. If they asked me to go back to support however, I wouldve most likely taken the draft role
again or do it together with solen.
What happens usually in this patch is that the carry farms his safelane, depending on the hero you can
push out the lane, farm the jungle and ancients with a hero like Anti-Mage or often seen this patch
farm a sidelane at the start, then ancients and join teamfights with Gyrocopter for example. If the game
allows it the carry clears the jungle, mid and defends the second sidelanes, too in case that is not taken
care of.
It is way better if the player of an active hero drafts such as support or offlane and in some teams the
position 2 player if it fits the playstyle as you can make better calls about the teams movement,
because you are in the fights whereas the carry is farming only joins if its neccessary. The best
example is Aggressif at TI5 with BoT Phantom Lancer tping to the fights or his Gyrocopter with his
ultimate. That decision being made you think you are the captain of Ancient Warrios now and in their
blurredness they follow you blindly. Or is this your revenge Kakashi for GameOnline disbanding in
March when things did not go right and your jealousy of seeing your player get into Stage 2 of
Starladder Star Series Season 12.
I told you to reconsider what you are doing, but you have low intelligence and no human dignity.
Thinking twice is nothing you have learned. Remove a player who has won over Empire, NaVi, Vega,
Complexity, Alliance, NiP etc. with years of team experience who has seen darkness and greatness.
Xcalibur and zeroji from the bottom of my heart dont enjoy playing with an Undying spamming
support whose greatest achievement is to recently lose against Austria Finest that thinks raising MMR
with 1 hero is something to be proud of and an inferior human that will soon get outdrafted and eaten
alive by every team that tries to get in the goals you set. Going to TI aha, think again haha, OH
RIGHT the thinking part.
To conclude this abomination I want to give a positive shotout to Team Lemondogs and Team Coast.
Most of you played with solen and I have won the FACEIT Impress Dad Andy 500 tournament with
you as a stand-in a few weeks ago. I met you at the Red Bull Gaming Grounds in Cologne and teamed
with you eskillz. You know what to say when things go wrong and turn them into a positive way and
you create a great atmosphere when things go right. The same goes for m4lem and many other players
I played with that say the truth.
Little did I know that you played with a guy like solen and in retrospect I pity you for it. He has shown
his true color in less than a week. Nobody of the Ancient Warrior players knows how to find true
happiness and you never will. How could Team Coast have gone so far when the person who drafts
and does not have the courage to speak 1v1 with you about what they really think? Open-atmosphere,
as if.
Instead of that solen you made the youngest player with Xcalibur write to me on steam, yeah not even
talk to me, make them believe you have something better for them and take all the blame away from
you. Simultaneously you make Steve think that from your perspective its understandable that you can
take away my team, dont want to give me time for the new role and block my original spot with your
follower.
It's time to teach you a lesson. We Dota 2 teams will destroy you, remain silent and quit while you
can. Kakashi if this was your plan all along, revenge is not the answer in this life. I might never ever
know, but I speak as a good man and get stuff done. You tried to hurt one guy, but you didnt and you
wont be able to stop us. The scene doesnt need disreputable human beings like you.
