Duties: Responsible day to day running of the construction for the office
compound that UNSOM and other missions will be using from April.
Planning, scheduling and supervision of the construction, repair and

Maintenance project at Villa Nabad compound location at the mission
area in Somalia.
I regularly Travel to the project site to supervise eight different
contractors that fulfil different tasks such as: Construction works
(Sniper screens and Chain link fence, Guardian Towers, Sally ports,
HESCO Bastion Barrier for perimeter protections, concrete and block
walls), Installing (prefabs, security lights, Boom gates, new gates
Ballistic gates), Water and sanitation included constructions of Septic
tanks. Construction work of the compound.
Design any modification necessary and submit to the Senior Project
officer
I prepare and submit daily report to my line manager on the progress of
the project using MS Project software and Excel Matrix.
I plan my daily tasks against the project plan with specific timescale &
controlling quality of the materials.
Daily flow up to contractors work. Submit progress report during the
implementation.
I prepare Task Orders for each contractor and make sure that it is
delivered on time and completed within agreed time limit.
Completion of work to complete UN Project Inspection Request form
for Inspection works Rejection details Remedies required Sketch
(If applicable). & Invoices.
Recorded all the documents each contractor filling and scanned.
Due to my local knowledge and my good communication with the local
neighbourhood community I am also trouble shooter and negotiate
landlords of our neighbours where dispute arises, in consultation and
guidance from my line manager.
