If you know someone who is in need of prayer but whose name is not listed, it may be that they
have asked not to be included in the printed bulletin. Please remember them in your personal
prayers.
Flowers on the altar this August weekend are sponsored by Don & Bettie Miller in
celebration of their 69th wedding anniversary (WOW!); and by Dale & Linda Stephenson in
celebration of Brian & Kristins 5th anniversary. Additional flowers are sponsored by Beth
McKibbon in celebration of Lee Stingleys 90th birthday.
Everyone is invited to Fellowship Hour for coffee and rolls between
services each Sunday in the Fellowship Hall.
PLEASE CONTACT THE CHURCH OFFICE if you or someone you know is hospitalized and
would enjoy a visit. Our church staff and hospital visiting volunteers would be happy to
greet, see, and pray with you.
We are in need of 2 more Communion Assistants to help with distribution @ the 8:30 am
worship service once per month. Please contact the office or mark todays registration
slip if you are interested in helping, and we will contact you.

SEPTEMBER
MEANS FOOD
PANTRY
Time again to
think about the
Norfolk Food Pantry
and how you can
help! St. Johns
supports the pantry
by donations of nonperishable food items,
monetary gifts to
purchase the perishable foods, and by
volunteers who sack groceries during
September for two hours each weekday
morning. THANK YOU!
* Non-perishable food may be left in the
collection boxes in the west hall, the narthex
and by the church office.
* Monetary gifts (placed in an envelope
designated Food Pantry) may be placedin the
offering plate or dropped off in the curch
office.
* To give of your time to help at the
pantry, check todays Registration Slip or call
Shirley Frowick @ 402-644-7882.
Thank you, too, for your donations of egg
cartons and plastic grocery bags which are
also needed!
Mission emphasis in
August is the Norfolk
Food Pantry. There is
always a need for the
staples, but particularly
peanut butter. A
PEANUT BUTTER
PYRAMID has been
started in the west
hallway under the coatrack. Stack your
donations for a visible reminder of how
we can help!
