The Draft
All my efforts are driven towards improving the quality of life. I discovered that winning was also
required (which is not a real requirement in human world, getting a window seat to watch a movie
is as good as getting any other seat. So, we dont want to be the hero but we want to protect our
rights and it would remain a requirement in our world. But volunteers are being given births. So,
we want to appreciate them.
If this is all that we want then it may really not be required to be born as a winner. But, if you're a
citizen of a developing nation then i would advise you to work harder. Otherwise, i do not
reccommend anybody to work hard.
If ever you were a bit strict with your self then please ask your body to forgive for what you did to
it.
In practice, becoming a person with original ideas or creating something new should not be
difficult. We are going to outline the pure method, and not talk about complicacies, given that
people have identified their intention as a source of training. Now originality and copying are two
different things. Getting inspired should be entirely different. And for all those who would simply
copy sombody else's job this advice is for all of them. Don't be a fool be smart. Nobody has done
anything new. New stuff are recognized by the mob, and then they work together to create
something new. Nobody should work on anything independently, except if you're Thomas Alva
Edison, and you're living under a fear that your ideas may be stolen. Everybody else learnsd from
each others works. So, in fact nobody is doing anything new. If you can uderstand this then we
should take the discussion to a futher level. And there is pin pointed and bulleted methods for
outlining those useful keywords that is in essence the very method at work. But, nothing is so
simple in life and it would be difficult for me to put forward the method just like tghat. I may use
some help from my own arguments. One thing is for sure, what I am talking about is important as
well as easy to follow and totally based upon an approach that can be followed.
Apart from guiding the brain not to take a wrong step, you must also take an addtional step. You
can help it with its health problems. The brain wants to get appreciated and it loves to enjoy. I
have seen young brains feeling vibrant over a outgoing activity or an assembly. Young minds are
untrained yet full of confidence. Maybe because they can feel the enjoyment of riding a freshly
created vehicle. This is so true about them; new things are not just lovely but they give a good
feel too. But, as every one knows a brain is as respectable as old it is. So, probably there is no
loss in having a new or old brain. But the brain should have got the training acoording to the
human being's age.
Let us explore it through the process of drawing.
PERSPECTIVE: We have learned the basic procedure to draw anything, and we have a ready
rule to deal with them. Proportions, in fact is the first hint at drawing or digging out a structure. We
are at all times trying to dig out the facial and bodily features of the person or object that we are
drawing. And proportions are like putting points at different locations. A point for the eye, nose,
chest area, knee and ankles etc. We won't need a special talent for putting a dot. Further, the
figure is still unclear to us, and the process of digging doesn't allow us to experiment with it.
Michelangelo had thought of using more suggestions after that, He would touch at the waist level
and say that this is where the dip is, as everyone knows creating a dip is also not difficult, and
then the nipples of the chest can be worked upon. These suggestions then would guide us a
great deal. If you have traced the figure already once using cellophane then you might have
already acquired an eye and a sense for drawing out the figure.
Perspective is then taken care of. Now you are ready to draw everything. Start with the head, and
take to your eyes its eyes, nose and lips. It would seem like a knife cut. To be abler to draw lines
that are sharp and seem like a knife cut you must learn and acquire the sense of fitting things. If a
vanishing point has been specified then obviously wahtever originated from there would lead to
just one line. If you have practiced it then automatically they will come and take their positions,
fitting themselves in there. perspective is a little harder a concept to deal with. It is one
information and cannot come with blind practices. You must accept it as an information first and
then practice with it.
An image is assembled through the mind's eye. The eye, is fixed at a place with respect to the
lips. They are so much attached to each other that it becomes impossible to neglect them. If you
have tried to draw without this information then you will never succeed. In fact even if somebody
has taught you this concept it would be very hard to realize what it actually means. Their are little
practices to do with it if you want to acquire informaton.
STEP1: Let us analyse a structure. The three quarter view of the human head should be
visualized first. The beauty of it is in its application, and I can guarantee a clear approach without
any hits and trails. It is free from all kinds of flaw. and real easy too. You just need to inform
yourself. An information is said to have been processed well when your mind reacts excitedly,
even you can feel its impact. So, let us move on.
This is a simple window. You must have observed this phenomena, but you might also have
observed that fixing a point at the vanishing level (at horizon or eye level) gives us a structure like
this. So, it has directly decended from there.
The point at the centre is called the vanishing point. This is so simple and simpler yet is your own
observation that such an incidence is observed when we look at windows aor buildings from any
other angle than straight in the eyes. Let us take next step-
Do you think you can follow it uptill now? We haven't done anything but just applied more lines
there using our eyes. These things can be calculated first and then drawn. Or, as I have done use
your sense to fittingly produce lines there.
EYE LEVEL: Most important area is the eye level of observation. Take your eye there and think
of it as a visible region. Obviously anything that exists over it would be seen with upturned eyes
and below level styles are imagined by thinking that these lie below my eyes. Ascend a high rise
building and observe the adjacent building. The window that lies directly at your eye level looks
like a square ar recxtangle perfectly, other windows lying above or below acquires different looks.
Observe them with a keen interest. You would use these ideas later. as in the present case we
requie you to have observed such phenomenon. Once you understand it, apply it to create your
own high rise. Other thing that you can do is you can directly apply the rule to draw three quarter
view of the human being or just its head.
STEP2:
One more word of caution. I cannot say whether you need to be good at geometry or not. For
example in my personal opinion I had made mistakes while learning this simple rule too. First I
could draw the central straight line, very easy. Next I would divide it into as many sections as
needed. And then I would proportaionately divide it using long lines. But then comes the need to
divide horizontally again. This step I took several times always ending up in making mistakes.
One day, finally, I assimilated it with the concept of similarity, greatly discussed in the chapter
similar traingles, of mathematics. Using that idea was like solving the whole problem. Every artist
must be a Mathematician first. Applies greatly to some more professions. Professions as that of
an architect. One cannot build roads and f they built then they would create accident prone
zones. Right brain is also taken a help of when architects design those roads. Some peole have
forgotten that civilization has resulted from several years of efforts from great minds they can be
learnt but by following the sam eprocedure. I have not seen a country where peole are coming up
with original ideas, and even if they did then finally they'll get to the same understanding. So,
easier is to follow appraoch.
So, my job remained to explain the prospects of your own brain in designing anything. But the
right brain is very useful in your dily lives. These problems have demanded that somebody
worked to solve these problems. A better life is right at your door step; you will not only become
successful but also lead a satisfied life. Satisfaction can be guaranteed without even coming in
contact with your partner. Isn't this good. It also guards the interest of our world and the
environment.
Similarity is required so that we may say that both the partitions that have been created
horizontally belong to the same entity and they are equal in size.
If you could do this then you should feel good about it. The problem is that similarity concept has
been used again. It is not the front view and that is why it isn't easy. if it was the front view then we
would have specified points and joind them. But, it has resulted from some more aplications of
similarity rule. So the jaw on both ends is not equal in size. everything else has been done using
the rules. Even the oval fitted into its place. Such an oval is correct and is in right perspective.
This case is hypothectical. our next steps should remove other problems. As a convention we use
this rule, the following procedure,
Other formulae should take care of other features and similarity rule may also not be applicable
here. In any case you should take similarity as a precaution to not draw out of proportion figures.
We are now ready to finish it.
I will refine it later. Enough to say that this is how it is to be created. Initially we should refrain from
adding our own ideas. Just do what you are sure about. Everybody would agree that this is the
general head shape, and could be created even though it lies at an angle.
Memorize from here everything that you can see. For example the head oval should be created
just like this and that is woth noticing here. It is a little different from the front view.
If perspective is so simple an idea then why not use it. This same application method is going to
be used to create any figure, and it would help to put it into correct perspective.
I have talked about the weapon of Hanuman, the thrasher or the 'gada" I think it is a bit difficult to
draw any circular shape without having a good right brain working in your favor. Visual schools
have been teaching students just that. Let me quickly create a hanuman weapon and then I will
stop this discussion right here, to be restarted after some time.
Here it is. A bit unmangeable using mspaint, but nonetheless initial features were done. Right
brain must be applied to crete this. Will you say it is impossible to create anything realistic? Think
again.
