RSERCH2 EXERCISE CONSENT FORM

Department of Communication
De La Salle University

Purpose of Research
The purpose of this research is to conduct a communication audit on the organizations website and
determine what aspects of their website the researchers can help the organization improve on.
Specific Procedures to be Used
The procedures to be used would include several face to face interviews conducted on new and old target
audience members of the organization on their perceptions of the organizations website. During these
interviews, there will be notes taken by the researcher/s on not only the answers of the respondents to the
researchers questions, but notes will also be taken on the physical movements/expressions of the
respondents that the researchers may deem useful as part of their study. There will also be audio/visual
recordings for transcription and further analysis.
Duration of Participation
The duration of participation will last approximately 15-20 minutes. There will be approximately 7
questions during the interview. The first 5 minutes will be given to each respondent to initially experience
and formulate their perceptions of the website. The succeeding 10-15 minutes will then be utilized for the
question and answer part. Participants may use this time to continue navigating through the website while
questions are being asked.
Confidentiality
The data collected from this study will only be seen and submitted to the researchers professor in their
TECHCOM (Communication Technology) class, Dr. Cheryll Soriano. After the study has been submitted
and marked, all raw data including all the notes taken during the interview and any audio/visual
recordings are to be destroyed and discarded by the researchers.
Voluntary Nature of Participation
You do not have to participate in this research exercise. If you do agree to participate you can withdraw
your participation at any time without penalty.
