Rubric For Assessing Lab Reports

This rubric assesses lab reports on a scale of 1 to 4 in several categories: abstract, introduction, experimental procedure, results, discussion, conclusions, grammar and formatting. A score of 1 is beginning/incomplete, 2 is developing, 3 is accomplished, and 4 is exemplary. Higher scores mean more complete information, fewer errors, and better writing. The rubric will be used to provide an overall quality score for individual lab reports.
