Your friend Fareed has just moved to a new school. He is having difficulties to
adjust himself well in that school. Write a letter to Fareed, giving him some
advice. Use the notes below:
Be friendly
Participate in some games in school
Prepare a timetable for revision.

Thank you for your letter. I am so sorry to hear that you are not coping
well in your new school. I know it is hard to be away from friends. However, do
not give up. Let me share a
few tips with you.

Firstly,(Connector) I think you should be friendly (C1).I know it will take
time for you to build friendships but, do not forget that Rome was not built in a
day (Elaboration 1) Try to make the first move, smile to everyone and offer
your help whenever possible(Example)
Furthermore (Connector), you could participate in some games in
school(C2). This will give many opportunities for you to make new friends
(Elaboration 2). Since you are good in playing badminton and
softball(Example), I think this is a great chance for you to get many friends.
Next (Connector),you should prepare a timetable for revision (C3)
so that you can study consistently and also to avoid you from studying at the
eleventh hour(Elaboration 3) For instance, you need to have a study schedule or
a plan of work for each day to help you to focus only on your studies(Example).
In addition (Connector), it is important that you pay attention during
class(C4).This is to make sure that you understand whatever that has been
taught by your teachers (Elaboration 4).If you talk with your friends or
daydream when the teacher is teaching, you will miss valuable information
(Example 4)
The next thing (Connector), you could do is to find a suitable place to
study (C5).Having a proper place to study could help you to concentrate on
your revision (Elaboration 5). Remember it is not wise to study in font of the
television (Example).
Finally (Connector),I think you should reduce playing your computer
games (C6) because it takes up too much of your studying time and I am afraid
