INTRODUCTION
The University of Toledo

The University offers a Mechanical Engineering program with


specialization in Automotive Engineering at the PSG Campus. The
Mechanical Engineering program is recognized as one of the best
programs on campus, primarily because of the quality of students,
laboratory facilities, and faculty. Many of the graduates are enjoying
excellent careers in engineering. Several of the faculty have received the
highest teaching and research awards bestowed at The University of
Toledo. Several faculties have been nationally and internationally
recognized by their professional societies in engineering, because of their
contributions towards research and service.

PSG Institute of Advanced Studies

This institution under the PSG group is offering several international


collaborative educational programs. This 1+1 year master program is
offered under a MoU signed between PSG Institutions and The University
of Toledo, USA. The program is offered at Coimbatore, an industrial city
with textile mills, engineering firms, and educational institutions. Since
1926, PSG is devoted to empowerment and social changes through
technical education in India, and in the process, has educated over
300,000 students and has an annual intake of more than 6,000 students.
MS in MECHANICAL ENGINEERING (With Specialization in Automotive
Engineering)
The focus of the Master Program is to prepare the graduates for an
automotive engineering position in a variety of functions within India,
companies operating in United States, as well as for Indian companies
operating as subsidiary in The United States of America.

50% of the major core & elective courses were thought by UT faculties.
The main focus of this program is to train the students for the following
positions:
Automotive engineer/specialist
Design engineer
Crash test analyst
Production engineer
Process analyst
Automation specialist
